Remember the Old Riverside Stand had to be demolished due to the Foundations literally having rotted away!. But we had no postponement in a game fter kick off for god knows how many years and we've now had 2 in 2 months. Today was heavy but it wasn't biblical. 2 Quote

An abandoned game followed by two postponed games - all due to a waterlogged pitch. Clearly work to do in the summer on the pitch. Venkys- putting the infrastructure back 60 years 2 Quote

Definitely down to lack of recent maintenance Hasta but there is no doubt the problem has always existed.I remember my dad talking about how quickly the Ewood pitch would turn into a muddy quagmire in the 50/60s era. Popular Post Bronzed A Donis Posted 2 hours ago Popular Post Posted 2 hours ago The club pleads for fans to cough up at increasing prices. Making a play of being together. They happily squeeze your money and time out of the fans, but the bare minimum , to ensure fixtures can be completed, they wont do. Its contempt, disinterest, not giving a toss. But they expect you to cough up, turn up and back the boys, without them having any intention of making sure that we can play in heavy rain, their side of the bargain is not being kept up (thats before the other lack of anything, cleaning stands, weeding, renewing contracts etc). Sod the fans who travel miles and give uo ther Saturday, sod them, who cares, we'll just charge them again. The board have contempt The players complain about the home fans The manager moans about the home support (lack of) Even the weather hates us. This club is broken. Please let us go, we are past withering on the vine. Its not about results, just want them to care. 13 Quote

Mr Venky and a quick favour call to Shiva? The cutting comments from the above Sheffield reporter about the Stadium looking tired are all we need to know about this horrible Venky tenure. Our famous old Club and fans didn't deserve this neglect. Swansea game in 2021, Millwall in 2022, Portsmouth 2024, Ipswich 2025 and Sheffield Wednesday 2025! If we were a film saga we'd be on "Episode V: The Puddle Strikes Back". We're truly a basket case club withering into history yet never seen able to escape this purgatory and be put out of our misery. Edited 1 hour ago by AvRover 2 Quote

I'd bite your hand off for a 50% increase in the chance of us being relegated if the wider media picked this up in the same way the Owls' troubles have been. Fuck Venkys and by and large, everyone down to and including VI. I hope we don't have to replay the fixture and are awarded all three points this time. Our fixture list is getting as clogged up as the drainage 'system' at Ewood and we have a squad fighting tooth and nail to stay up, so anything we can get I'll take. I do not want relegation and fear that we'll become another Bolton Wanderers FC if we do. Quote

Bolton - a club on the up, that might be in the Championship next year, bigger crowds than ours and a largely united fan base. I'd take becoming another club like that compared to the shambles we have become. And why the hell would the EFL award us the points! 2 Quote

I know this is gloomy but unless the club gets a massive, massive slice of luck I feel it is destined for decline. I think you've got to be exceptionally optimistic to believe a return to the Premier League is ever on the cards, even in 30 years. Quote

I would imagine there will also be either a punishment or an ultimatum from the EFL. Edited 1 hour ago by London blue Quote
