At the primary school I went to, even though most of the boys played football, I cannot remember anyone saying they supported a particular club. I didn't start supporting the Rovers until I was 10, and that was only because my mum took me.

If anyone said anything wrong about Rovers when I was at school aged 7 it usually ended in a fight.

We were shit and in the third division but they are my home town club and I have always loved the underdog.

if only I could have met up with the Liverpool, Leeds, Man U and Chelsea fans amongst us in 1995 some 23 years later, that would have been something.

Great win and a huge lift before Christmas, Pratt excellent again and nice for Matty, Tom and Nathan for the debuts. Millwall were third before the kickoff. I think the Academy players has contributed alot this season. Says it all about the small squad but I'm more of giving our young players the chance that. Other teams.

The one great thing about our club they haven’t ruined (yet) is our academy is still producing good players who are proud to play for the club

Good to see Tronstad and Pickering back in the starting eleven. One can only wonder why the latter has been frozen out for so long in favour of De Neve

THIS!

exactly! Actually championship players instead of de neve or Tavares

Why freeze Pickering out ?

and then why suddenly play him?

it’s a contradiction by VI

he hasn’t been injured so what’s that all about and why now suddenly play him

im glad he is back but I’m confused to why he froze him out

Maybe Ismael went against Pasha's instructions out of necessity. Pasha is away in India.

I still think Pickering is on the list of departures in January

How many years did we have hard-working, non scoring center forwards and sat here wishing we had a bloke who'd just stick it in the net? We finally have one and there's complaints about the rest of his game?

Said it before, but a player in this division who is the complete package doesn’t stay here for very long. Gudjohnsen is a very good player at this level.

I like Gudjohnsen but I would say he's got alot of work to do yet before he progresses further. Twice yesterday he had the ball at his feet and didn't look comfortable carrying it, lost control with acres of space in the first half and then passed a terribly loose ball in the second, think then Val subbed him off which was the correct decision.

We've yet not really seen him get a quality finish away, goals have all landed at his feet. A few nice headers yes but I think the commentary team said at Portsmouth, you wouldn't really see him getting goals like Ohashi's - If we can see more of that ability he will no doubt end up in the prem.

Good

If he progresses further, he will be off

Hopefully he progresses no faster than Rhodes so is here for at least 3 years 😉

How many of his goals could you see Sam Gallagher scoring ?

I'm not sure? Why is Sam Gallagher being brought into comparison?

Gallagher played up front for us for years and never looked like the finisher that Gudjohnsen is. If you don’t think some of his goals are quality finishes you’re hard to please. He makes what are tricky finishes look easy. I agree the rest of his game is a bit shaky but the lad can finish alright.

Didnt see the game but caught highlights. We looked good for the win and Millwall gift wrapping us a goal helps. Merry Christmas.

Great to grab 3 points at home, a nice lift going into this tricky period and airtime on Sky for Pasha out and the boycott reasons.

Wins all round 🙂

Even if they are easy finishes, he is in the right place to put them away, we have had numerous strikers in recent years who do not have that instinct

He offers very little apart from goals, but if he was a more complete player, we wouldn't have him

VI subbed him off because of a hamstring strain.

Seems to be a few people saying that but he didnt look injured, just knackered. I dont think he went down the tunnel for treatment either but may be wrong and not seen anything post match.

He is very limited in his all round game, but he does have a natural instinct for being in the right place at the right time and can finish which justifies his place in the team as its the most important part of being a striker.

We played well yesterday, surprisingly, it was a great win although Millwall were dreadful, they couldn't string more than 3/4 passes together and their defence were extremely shaky... A team like Cov would have scored 8.

I saw a post from someone stating that we'd win given we always seem to perform the game following extreme adversity... Which as we now know, spot on haha.

Good win and well deserved.  Want to give some credit to Miller who Milwall were kicking all over the place in my opinion thinking they could get a reaction out of him

I watched the game on Rovers TV from my home in Spain. I found it a bit strange on commentary that it was stated that it looked like the pitch had benefited from some work being done on it. I don’t know if it has or not, but given that the supporters who watch the game that way have all paid a subscription and it is Rovers own channel, why were the commentators not told either way, so that they could pass this on to the fans? Surely it isn’t a secret.

or maybe they were just told to hint at work possibly having been done?  So that nobody can accuse lies coming from those in charge (this time at least)

Maybe, which I suppose shows contempt for the fans, who paid and therefore contributed their bit to the club.
