No doubt there will be a big tribute to Chris Rea at the Riverside on Boxing Day. Insert your own remarks about Rovers, Venkys and the road to hell.

Jason Roberts to miss an open net in injury time

Rovers have a very good record in the north east but Boro are in fine fettle and it's going to be a tough game.

We'll probably be Driving Home after Christmas with nul points

Millwall we're decimated in midfield with injuries, but its the best I've seen Rovers play at Ewood this season. If we give the same performance against boro, there's no reason we can't come away with something. 1-2 Rovers.

As the LT says, I can't see how we can drop Pears at the moment. He hasn't put a foot wrong since he came in for Toth, he hadn't much chance with most of the goals conceded, and his kicks up field are excellent.

I've been to Boro loads of times and we're unbeaten within that time, a number of occasions we've been in dreadful form leading up to the game too. We just have a very odd knack of coming away with at least a point there!

I'm going to this one as well, can't miss a boxing day game no matter how apathetic I currently feel towards the club.

Despite the record there this will be bloody tough, I think they've only lost to the league leaders at home thus season? We'll just have to hope the footballing gods are kind to us and we nick a 1-0 win, you'd definitely take a 1-1 though.

Still doesn't command the box and communicate enough. A couple times he did this. He had a go at Pratt for a back pass but he should shouting at Pratt to clear it if he doesnt want the pass back.

Toth is our number 1 and if fit should always start

Off topic but I believe that Sheffield Wednesday tickets are on sale until close of business today with no tickets for sale on the day. Not sure why they can’t still be available online over Xmas. Or have I misread the X posting yesterday?

Nonsense from the LT, you play your best players.

Remember folk saying similar when Kaminski got injured in 2023 and Pears came in for a run in the side, although Pears didn't do a lot wrong it was crazy to have him starting with Kaminski on the bench.

We've been in a similar situation before and if they don't put Toth back in it's because they are easing him to the door.

Personally i'd give Pears another game or 2 the Toth back in for the New Year, no arguments.

Agreed on Toth being our best keeper and that he should start.

But if you are referring to the backpass in the first half, theres no way that you can put it down to Pears not communicating. It was poor of Pratt to be playing that pass in that situation, it was always going to be awkward to deal with and its confirmation bias to pin it on Pears.
