Can I ask what the protesters are hoping to achieve by staying away from the Watford game?

Trying to pressure Venkys to sell.

You think any statement other than "Venky's have put the club up for sale" would offer any hope of improvement? Of course not. Words are irrelevant at this stage.

The only way to get Venky's out is to squeeze them financially and that's achieved by no one buying tickets anymore.

Long overdue!

A rather odd question coming from a unionist i have to say.

Why would it? They'll just shrug their shoulders - even assuming they know about it

I have managed to convince another 3 ST holders to boycott and spoken to another 2 who weren't going to boycott but are now.

Thats on top of the 12 I have already spoken to who are boycotting.

The statement by the club is nothing short of embrassing given what has taken place over the last decade and a half and can be added to the mountain of other BS they have spouted during that time.

Won't make much difference mate, the Venkyclappers on Twitter and the LT comment section are bringing thousands of extra fans to this game to stick it to us boycotters and show us what real fans are

The fact that rovers have felt the need to release a statement, which has been picked up by various media outlets is a success in itself. The boycott alone won’t rid us of them but it’s been successful in getting the conversation going again.

What do you think?

Go on,I'll take the Bait. They are making a stand,a show of unity against these awful Owners and everything wrong down Ewood way..

Dont forget jimbo, you were advocating supporters getting on the pitch(in my day!) at one point.

I didn't bite as I thought that's where he was heading. (on the pitch)

We need the fans help which is why we charged £35 for an adult to sit on the Blackburn End on New Years' Day for a 12:30pm kick off against Wrexham.

Still the only way IMO.

We really need the fans help which is why we silently removed the £20 midweek price cap & increased season ticket prices whilst having the highest priced tickets for young vocal supporters in the Blackburn End…

They're taking us for fools

And we'll decide that the vocal minority should move to the riverside were it's cheaper because we don't like some of the chants.

Or we'll price them out of coming altogether.

I'm a season ticket holder and I've been to every weekend home game and a couple of the midweek ones. If I was asked to miss the rest of the season it would be a no. If I was asked to not buy a season ticket next year that would be 50/50. I can easily pick and choose games as I miss a few anyway.

However missing one game on a miserable, drizzly Saturday against low-key opposition to try and make the point is an easy decision for myself. It's a single afternoon. There's another home game next weekend to catch up with my mates. Partaking in boycotting this one game doesn't mean that going forward you will be asked (or have to) miss further games. It's an isolated message.

Something needs to be done, to stop the rot at Ewood.

Getting Blackburn Rovers back on track, and change at Ewood.

And a depressing performance, and 3 easy peasy points for Wrexam.
