sadly i feel the mostly likely positive result we might get would be 0-0.
Maybe we can score 1?...

But if we are to score or score more than 1, you feel it would need things like a penalty, own goal or red cards to swing in our favour. Until we get some strikers in the door, I just dont see any goals from anywhere. Can see us in the bottom 3 by at least the end of feb.

Personally I think if we have no new additions or nobody back from injury, I think Id shove 1 of the CBs up top with Yuki, Samba esc jobby and try and play off knock downs, something different while we have zero options.

Somewhere we never win, 1 win in 36 years at there place I think it is.

3-0 down by half time is my guess.

Ismael to come out after the game and say things are urgent and hope to have a striker in place by the end of the week.

94/95 season was the last time we got a win there… the club was in a slightly different place then.

Indeed, we’ve only ever won there one other time (in 1988). So the bogiest of all bogey grounds.

Does anyone have a clear idea who is back from injury? We need Gudjonsen up front desperately, and it's really unclear who will play left and right wing back? I guess with Cashin coming in alongside McLoughlin and Atcheson enables Miller to move out to RWB, but no idea what we do at LWB. Powell? Or suck it up and play players we know can't do that role (Riberio, Pickering, De Neve).

I guess midfield we will play Baradji, Cantwell and Tronstad. Toth should come back in.

2-0, we're not getting close to this lot now. We barely have a goal in us and we haven't strengthened any position we've needed to in January thus far.

The defence can't hold out forever and it will crack at some point.

I don't think anyone else is back. I think prior to the Hull defeat, Ismael said Mori and Gudjohnsen were still about 3 weeks away. So probably looking at another 2 weeks before anyone else gets back.

Strong effort vs Hull. I feel much more confident of Rovers’ defending, than their ability to score; but not really confident of either.

Yuki or Cantwell, maybe; honestly, I can’t see more than 1.

tractors,2; Rovers, 1.

I imagine for this game he will go with a relative safe option in Pickering, his lack of attacking threat won't matter in this game because we will barely get out of our own half.

Pretty sure nobody is back at the moment

There were training pictures of  a few, but from memory Morishita Litherland, Gudjohnsen & Forshaw will be back in the team by the end of January, Carter, Wharton & Kargbo will be February, Tavares is further away, Montgomery is unknown, & Hedges may be the season.  Alebiosu is away until next week

Here's a fun fact.

In our last 20 games - Tronstad and Gudjohnsen have both started 5 times (and we've won all 5).

Of the 15 games where they didn't both start, we've not won a single one.

Guaranteed home win.

As my mate who isn't even a Rovers fan said 'No Gudjohnsen No goals'.

We'll go 1 up in this on the counter but run out of steam early second half and a raft of changes will see us lose.

2nd most successful town club  2  -   UK's most successful but ruined town club  1

2-0 and another humbling defeat. Yet still there won't be talk of relegation within the local media or at the club itself.

Nothing to see here.

‘FT🚜 4 - 🌹 0.
But a great effort for a team with an average age of 14 👏

Feels like your telling me I should watch the Manchester derby instead.

We usually put on a strong but losing display at Portman Road.

One of my favourite games of all time was a 4-3 defeat in the League Cup in the days when full strength sides were put out. Ipswich were 2nd in the First Division and we were languishing in the second.

Garner tore Butcher and Osman to pieces (the England first choice central defence partnership) and after leading 2-0 then 3-2 late goals from John Wark and Paul Mariner squeaked Ipswich through.

I expect after having two good performances against Ipswich already this season, we will again give them a good game. Would be nice to go 1 up and get 3 points this time.

I could never understand how Mariner ended up at Plymouth before he moved to Ipswich. Wasn’t he at Chorley ?

He was one of my favourite ever players.

He was playing in the famous 5-2 game against Plymouth. I thought the other lad playing up front with him , Billy Rafferty ? , looked a better prospect at that time.
