roverandout Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago According to Facebook sky have reported Alexander is in talks. It wouldn't be a terrible appointment. He's done a cracking job at Bradford. I doubt whether it will happen though 1 Quote

The preview underneath has Graham Alexander 4/1, Coleman 5/1, Hughes 6/1, Bilic 6/1, Savage 8/1. When you click the link to go to the website, it doesn't display Rovers managerial odds, just the Man Utd, Palace Leicester etc. odds. I wouldn't describe 4/1 as heavy favourite. 4/1 essentially means it's a 20% chance of happening in the bookies eyes. Quote

Strangely I couldn't find Rovers manager odds anywhere easily. What’s the big secret? Quote

How is savage still on the odds when he's said he doesn't want it lol bonkers Quote
Elrovers Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Alexander former Burnley player. He’ll try get us relegated. Can shove that one down the drain. But then again, our self sabotaging board would do anything to ruin us. Quote

Backroom Popular Post Tom Posted 5 hours ago Author Backroom Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago Surely we aren’t childish enough to not want people based on who they played for? It’s about the best man for the job, not sure if that’s Alexander but I’d base it on real reasons. 22 Quote
MarkBRFC Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I'm not particularly bothered about any dingle connection. Pasha & Gestede are worse than any dingle that ever existed. The only thing that should be in question, is he the right man for the job and can he keep us up? Alexander whilst has an ok record over his career, has never managed at this level so it's a complete gamble again. Plus the fact he has two and a half years on his deal surely means it's a no go as we won't pay compo. 9 Quote

These days for 90% of them it’s just a job. Why would anybody trying to work their way up the managerial ladder deliberately ruin their chances of moving up by deliberately setting up their team to be relegated ? 3 Quote
EwoodGlory Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Why would he leave Bradford to come here? Doing a good job and a massive gamble considering they could be in a league above us next season Wagner has a decent record, would be my choice 3 Quote
Trinidad Rover Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago 1. Hire underwhelming manager 2. Said manager talks about the project, how big a club Rovers are and there are no excuses 3. Fans reaction ranger from, 'meh' to 'he speaks well, back the lads' 4. Results are marginally better for a few games so stay of execution until next season 5. Crap window, further devaluing of the squad 6. Crap results 7. Manager leaves in February And on and on.... PURGATORY 3 Quote
Popular Post Polky Posted 5 hours ago Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago Alexander being an ex PNE/Dingle player doesn’t bother me. It did with Coyle because he was a shit appointment and a Dingle. 10 Quote
Dolly blue Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Tin hat on…IMO Graham Alexander would be a good appointment. Look at his stats in management, albeit lower leagues, but ….impressive. He’s untarnished, he’s played under some good management in his playing days and he’s a winner. It may be a small pond in which we fish..but this fish does not stink ! 7 Quote

Always gonna be the underlying Dingle factor but that's irrelevant if it means survival. 1 Quote
roverandout Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I couldn't give a shit if while playing for Burnley, Alexander said Blackburn was a disgusting shithole, Blackburn people were arseholes or if he shit in the middle of the pitch at Ewood, as long as he does his best if he was ever appointed that's OK for me 7 Quote

Nothing to do with him managing Burnley. When I was watching in the early days we had former Burnley players playing for us without a problem,. 3 2 Quote
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Given the absolute state Venkys and their wretches have put us in, the fact that a potentially decent manager could be coming in that played for the 6 fingered lot should not be a concern 3 Quote
