  1. One thing I did notice about the OP - he titled the thread "Thank You Rovers", not "Thank You Blackburn". Good lad! 👍 We are the one & only Rovers. You're welcome at Ewood anytime mate!
  2. To be fair, it displays fine on my PC screen but when I look at it on my phone, it does appear that TK's gone walkabout!
  3. Anyone who's only read the last couple of pages must wonder what the hell is going on! 🤣
  4. As my daughter plays, I'm a big advocate for Ladies/Girls football so literally spent all yesterday afternoon watching Women's football with her having their first pre-season friendly. She plays for Lostock Hall St Gerard's Ladies. The club has being going since 1947 but this year have formed their first ever Ladies team. If there's any of you know someone in the surrounding areas (or further afield if you want to travel) who fancies getting involved, either get in touch with them, or PM me & I'll put you in contact with the right people. There's some really good pictures from yesterday linked on their FB page - ok the result wasn't the best, but most of these girls have only know each other for a few weeks (a few used to play together at Euxton Girls) https://www.facebook.com/LSGFC/ I'm sure she won't mind me putting a pic of of her celebrating a goal after playing a perfect through ball for the assist!
  5. Do you know what? I've a good mind to tweet Alex Scott about that , just to get her opinion, now that people actually care about women's football - it's obviously as corrupt as the men's , only cheaper! (PS I'll have to sign up for Twitter first, does anyone know how that shit works? 😆)
  6. Agree, but how about some acknowledgement about how we were stiched up when ManUre decided to start a women's team!? Not gonna happen. Those girls should still be wearing blue & white halves! Still proud though - lovely to hear a "common as muck" interview from Ella. #oneofourown. We know what we are & we're proud of it!
  7. Hmm, beg to differ. TK tipped that shot in the first half onto the bar but we got a goal kick. Tommy nearly celebrated til he realised the ref hadn't seen it. JDT even said as muck in his interview on radio Lancs. I even shouted, "great save tommy" & he looked my way & laughed in knowing way!
  8. ...... which more or less coincides with: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11676/11176653/steve-waggott-named-blackburn-chief-executive
  9. I've really enjoyed watching it tbf. It was funny watching it in the pub last night. A few moans & groans about women's football early on then by the end, the same blokes cheering the team on & getting into it. Just seen that Russo goal again, absolute filth! 😆 The discussion on Goalkeeping is interesting as I've been saying it for a while. They don't seem to have the spring or anticipation the same as their male counterparts. The latter can be coached, however I wonder if the former is purely biology, I don't know, I could be wrong. My daughter's team had a really good keeper last year who has been snapped up by Chorley. I can see her going on to bigger things & ending up at much bigger club - Molly Finch, you heard it here first! 😉 This season, my daughter has moved teams to a bigger club who have just set up their first womens team. Funnily enough, the hardest position they found to fill was goalkeeper, so maybe there's not the same interest in the position, hence the lack of quality. Everyone wants to be the goal scoring hero.
  10. Rovers getting a mention on Granada tonight right now.
  11. Think we need to start a "JPvH is Shit" thread. Let's try & put others off the scent! Oh well, if he's only 6th choice at BHA, I suppose, at a push, we could have him back here. He'll be ok as back up for Carter & Philips. Seems a nice lad, so probably good to have around the place. Player of the year? Nope, never happened, we gave it to BBD obviously! Tish. Football eh? All these rumours!
  12. Yeah, she absolutely loved it today. All the players were really friendly & spent lots of time signing autographs & posing for photos. Here's TK adding the final signature to her shirt (BBD has signed the back next to his name for those keen enough to try & identify them all! 😄)
  13. Dropped my daughter & her mate off at the open training session this morning. As she got out of the car I said "Tell JDT I said hello", you know, as you do jokingly. She's just sent me a video of her saying exactly that to him after he'd signed her shirt & he replied "Say hello to your dad from me!" 😅 Top bloke!
  14. Had a similar issue a few years ago when trying to set up my daughter's account. I just created another Gmail account & used that. Wasn't an issue after that. She's now 17 so I just updated her details once she got her own email.
  15. Are there any other players we're after called Callum? Wouldn't mind that lad who plays up front for Newcastle! 😅
  16. Also interesting it's a midfielder - might be getting him in to pave the way for Bowler to leave. Not that I think there's a cat in hells chance he's coming here. Although I would be pleased if he did. Is £3m not a bit steep seeing as he's in the last year of his contract? Would've thought maybe around half that.
  17. Didn't know John, but his face definitely looks familiar. The comments on the Facebook link say it all. Always sad to hear of the passing of a fellow Rover & fair play to you @sympatheticclaret, for coming on here to pass on the news & share your stories. Much respect mate! 👏
  18. On a positive note, at least I can pronounce & spell "Ben Davies", unlike a lot of the names that've been mentioned on here lately! 😄
  19. Just read this on SSN. No idea if he's any good or not but looks like he was on loan at Notlob last season. Says a number of Championship clubs interested. Personally would prefer Byrne from Derby, but then again, I don't know anything about this lad:
