  1. If you look at the head to heads between us and Boro it's actually ridiculous the number of either 1-1 draws or 1-0 wins. Fully expect this trend to continue as well. Diaz penalty in the 86th minute to bring home the points...
  2. Not too disheartened tonight, they were better than I expected if I'm honest. I think they're only just getting started too and as the season goes on and the manager has had chance to further stamp his mark on them they'll absolutely walk promotion. Will be interesting to see if the lads pick themselves up after this defeat. 3 points at Boro would mark a very good August apart from the cup defeat (which I'm not arsed about but still, should be beating Morecombe). Barnsley may be tricky in September but apart from that it's on paper a fairly easy month, October ain't too bad either. Hopefully rack some points up and quash any relegation worries early doors.
  3. May well come back to bite me in the backside this but I think people are giving them far more praise than they deserve. Sure they're scoring a few but they've also conceded 2 in 2 of their games too, their defence doesn't amaze me although I rate the keeper highly. It's a bloody shame we won't have a decent crowd on at them prices, already seeing the difference this season that fans are making in helping influence games. I'm going for a 2-2 here, we need some big games from our midfielders or Mowatt will end up bossing it, but I have faith. I think he'll pick the same team barring injuries, I'd like to see Chappers giving a bit longer though and maybe a run out for Clarkson.
  4. Aye he wasn't even getting in these positions previously, if he nails the shooting he will be a real asset. Bang one on and I'm sure more will follow....
  5. Have you seen the goals in the WBA game? That keeper for the blades looks terrible.
  6. I said 2-1 and indeed it was. Unfortunate not to keep a clean sheet to be honest but that was a good finish especially on his weaker foot. We really do look so so much more solid with Ayala - unfortunately we're walking a nervous tightrope there on the injury front. Can we push another shift out of him at weekend? I hold my hands up, I've been harsh on Carter but last few games are we seeing what he can do? Possibly an indirect result of the experienced Ayala playing too?
  7. Really enjoyable half that, could have been much better had Buckley scored that sitter though 😳 They don't look comfortable with players running at them, Rothwell skipped straight through 3 of them for the Buckley chance. Need to get Diaz, Sam and Dolan running at them too second half.
  8. Buckley used to play right wing back just to confirm.....
  9. They beat us last season thanks to an injury time goal and also Armstrong missing a penalty, wasn't really a tactical masterclass tbf!
  10. Sure its always the case at Forest, they adjust the home allocation accordingly if an away team doesn't sell out...
  11. Tough one this and could go either way. I think we're quite evenly matched and it's going to take perhaps a moment or 2 of individual brilliance to win it. It would be great if the newly found confidence of Mr Diaz prevailed again and he banged a goal in on his old stomping ground. Not sure what we do at centre half, the ultra cautious Mowbray approach surrounding Ayala makes me think he'll bench him tonight ahead of the weekend. Very frustrating really but I'd rather him sit out 1 game than 8 games on the sideline through injury. I'm gonna go for a 2-1 away win.
  12. Bell didn't even have half a football brain, he was quite simply shite. What you could never question was his commitment and effort, I imagine that's helping his cause with the Luton fans, obviously a goal will help further.
  13. Oh mate there's a whole host of reasons. Oil prices up Port congestion, brexit hasn't helped cos of additional paperwork customs declarations etc Lack of equipment, the whole suez canal fiasco meant containers sat in the wrong places and even now ports like Ningbo are short Obviously covid. Outbreaks in China at Ningbo and Yantian will close whole ports, they take no risks. I believe Yantian may be locking down again. Add to that the shipping companies have us all by the bollocks, whoever pays most gets their stock. Big dogs like Amazon will pay it and cripple the rest.
  14. I hope that was just shithousery from Joe towards the end with the injury.... Tough game, really tough and was feeling pretty down till the goal as we weren't threatening. But what a goal it was, superb. Really hope Ben is gonna 'do an armstrong', he sprang into life when dacky got injured and we need someone to do the same now Armo is gone. Ayala I think makes a massive difference especially in a young team, another 90 will hopefully do him good. Butty looked bright again when he came on, he needs a full half or even a start next game for me.
  15. That definitely explains it then. The price has gone over 20k dollars a container now (that's if you can even manage to get containers) its an absolute mess.
  16. Some really odd negativity in here, but I guess that's the mood around the fanbase right now. Another great kit in my eyes 👍 Regarding the availability, does anyone know where the kits are made? I would assume Italy? We're in the midst of a global shipping crisis, take it from someone who knows its an absolute nightmare getting stock right now and no sign of it easing unless you pay way over the odds. We're going to see many empty shelves and inflated prices in shops pre Xmas folks so my advice to you all is buy early this year!
  17. Not really no. Their manager is a wanker, the diving antics of many of their players disgraceful and now they'll have the influx of premiership bandwagon jumpers in the ground. Each to their own though, of course they are in a MUCH better position than us, certainly not everything I want to be though as a club! On Raya, he was exposed many times in the championship so God help him in the prem. We have a much better keeper between our sticks, that's one thing we've definitely got over Brentford right now.
  18. We have a half decent record vs Millwall for some reason. Pretty sure it won't be a game of many goals, apart from that not really sure what to expect. We could do with Cooper not starting, I think he came on the other night for a while in his injury comeback. I'll go 1-1, Rothwell to slot one in from the edge of the box. It's possible we could be top of the league Sunday morning if we scraped a win, imagine how giddy Facebook mowbrayites would get 😳
  19. Wasn't the new guy supposed to be taking care of this side of things? John Park? Who came in with the title of head of recruitment and has recruited, well absolutely pissing nobody 🤣 you can't script this circus you really can't.
  20. Am I missing something, are we basing this Obafemi turned us down conclusion on some wank football insider Web page or other sources? Doesn't exactly sound legit on there...
  21. Hell fire Jim a lots changed since 2002! The cup has been completely devalued. Its essentially a competition for reserves teams for the most part until teams start thinking they have have a chance of winning it. Even the FA cup has lost a lot of its magic but I'd still MUCH prefer a good run in that. I didn't want to lose last night as I never do but it's not particularly distressing to me that we're out.
  22. It's done nothing whatsoever to change my opinion, I wanted the clown out before and I still want him out now. I just couldn't care less about going out of the fake red bull cup.
