  1. So they don’t trust him on recruitment, they have reduced his power, ‘others’ are making signings, the results are significantly worse... so he’s being kept on, because?
  2. Obviously something needs to change merchandise wise as the club shop range really is pathetic.
  3. Sounds great, looking forward to the big launch.
  4. How would that work for those that paid £400 for this season? As they are expecting a pro rata reduction on next season. They getting in for free if we follow Stoke’s policy? It’s moot anyway as we won’t be seeing such competitive pricing here as it’s not what Waggott is here to do, especially with probable ongoing Covid restrictions capping numbers - he’ll continue to try and rinse the remaining core for top dollar
  5. The last few weeks has obviously caught up with them, 9 games in less than a month, when it’s been a fairly quiet period for the rest of the league. Can certainly see one of those fly out of the traps performances that we seem to pull out the bag every now and then.
  6. A couple of photos of a grass-less pitch and a machine or two on the surface released on social media in the summer will still do the trick even at £45k. ’More investment from the owners 👏’, ‘fair play to Venky’s’, ‘err Bolton’.
  7. Waggott rubbing his hands with the mark up he can now rake in...
  8. Bit like in Italy, you can be in one of the smartest ristorante’s or bars and you’ll always find Tennant’s Super Strength!
  9. About the same number of pages as appearances...
  10. I was presuming they’d be showing both games on different days over the weekend as we are in the run in?
  11. The mighty Athers and I on the same page 💁‍♂️
  12. You’ll never get a total boycott anywhere, you especially won’t here as plenty of fans have no issues whatsoever with the owners, in fact, they cheerlead for them. However, we will probably start next term with our lowest crowds in nearly 40 years, which will obviously have a knock on to revenues, be they tickets or merchandise, surely that is a de facto protest anyway?
  13. He’s playing every week in the Scottish Premiership, obviously not the league it was, but Wharton got another look at after playing in L1 and 2, surely therefore he could get another 12 months, especially if budgets will be tight?
  14. I quite like this new set up. Keeps interest for all the teams throughout. Also, good to see the ‘also-rans’ that have been stuck in the second division for years having a chance to compete.
  15. Presume Rotherham game will be on Sky next week as play offs and top two are settled already...
  16. I imagine we won’t be far away as the 2,500 that bought one this season will presumably sign up as they will be offered a heavily discounted price (that’s if Waggott doesn’t find a way to weasel out of it) and I can certainly see another 1,500 buying one on top of that. Though 4,000 would still be a calamitous 50 %+ drop on the last normal season and would see us back to mid 80s levels.
  17. The line I imagine most fans when returning from an away game will have uttered many a time; ‘cracking day out, shame about the 90 minutes in the middle’. This last year has made me appreciate just how much being a football fan is about the whole ritual and routine, as I find the actual modern sport on the pitch massively sterile and clinical.
  18. We were an established PL club, but not a cash rich one, so we were always one bad decision from throwing it all away (as a certain later individual proved), so it was always a needlessly risky appointment - as JW himself later admitted.
  19. Has Les’ findings been shredded yet?
  20. Amazing how they will continue to plough good money after bad into new multi year contracts for a plethora of journeyman and Teesside based footballers for a team getting consistently worse, yet will just not see the common denominator...
  21. 2023, I think. Though you can’t imagine he’s on mega money down there.
  22. Our Richard in tears over his punt on Man Utd shares. 📉
  23. ‘I do feel when I look at it, from speaking to the analysts on how we’re doing goals for and against, we’re better with goals against but short on goals for compared to last season.’ Glancing at the league standings on behalf of our famous table-phobe and reading the GF and GA column qualifies you as ‘an analyst’ down there by the sounds of it. Nice work if you can get it. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19253213.rovers-fallen-way-short-expectation-says-mowbray/
  24. Along with Steve Agnew...
  25. Must admit, a manager soon to be on his bike getting to oversee the budget, ins and outs etc for the incoming set up does sound just the type of lunacy this idiotic regime would go for.
