  1. No idea either way over Pasha’s whereabouts, but does amuse me that some folk are still under the impression that the Rao’s have some sort of Eye of Sauron over the club.
  2. TM and Swag will be taking the Minus 1 Goal Handicap league table to Pune then, I take it?
  3. Why the difference? I’m speaking generally here and there are exceptions, obviously, but my view is that a lot of folk on Facebook/Twitter (especially younger ones) I would call Rovers ‘followers’. I.e they just want to watch the team, and don’t really give the club that much thought throughout the rest of the week, they aren’t particularly interested in the shenanigans that go on in football clubs and generally trust those in charge. So if the Chief Exec calls Brockhall ‘30 years old’, talks about ‘how a combined state of the art facility makes sense’, then why not trust him? This place you have to set up accounts to join just to talk about Blackburn Rovers and the regular contributors spend hours every day going into the minutiae of the football club, so there is that deeper connection and more ‘big picture’ viewpoint. I’d say most club forums are like this.
  4. That’s a maybe, but it isn’t representative of the fanbase as a whole.
  5. “I spoke to Nigel (Pearson) after the game and he was impressed with the rotation of the team and the ball possession, how we stretch the backline and put the ball in the box, but ultimately there was no goals.” “I hear every week from other managers how good our team is, but generally that is on the back of a 1-0 defeat.” How pathetic is that? Like a League 2 manager after a cup tie when they’ve just had a glass of wine and been patronised by a PL manager, ‘loves how we play, does Pep’
  6. Portsmouth have a lot of potential and could easily establish themselves in the Championship, they seem to give managers a decent run too, so an attractive gig, for me.
  7. What’s going on with the players and results is totally normal, been 4 years, it’s got stale and they need a new voice. At normal clubs the board/the owner would spot it and it would’ve been long nipped in the bud and a bit of momentum from a new broom lifts everybody. Here these things drag on and on and everyone involved just increasingly goes through the motions, the manager talks evermore nonsense as he’s run out of ideas (and knows he’d have gone already anywhere else) and the fanbase more and more apathetic.
  8. So JH is Richard Oakley? Why would he bother? This place isn’t representative, just like the LT comments or Facebook. However, there is rarely any nuance in your posts, just unflinching support of a regime that has turned us into a pathetic shadow of what they inherited.
  9. A new low Ben. Your contribution to this vitally important thread has reduced to baseless accusations that one of our most forensic, passionate fans on here is a fraud? Look to the early pages and I’m probably saying Cat A, like JH I’m used to talking about ticket pricing, so an easy slip up to make... or am I secretly Stuart or Rev? Though shows how difficult even you are finding being a contrarian on this issue...
  10. Yeah, all that set-pieces and formations stuff, well out-dated...
  11. Only under this very cosy set up would TM be ‘great’ and Brockhall merely ‘decent’...
  12. Stephen Pears is big mates with Mowbray, they played with each other for years at Boro and he used to be TM’s goalkeeping coach too.
  13. In all likelihood Waggott will have departed the scene by the time any new Cat 1 application is put in (if they even bother), so he can make as many public ‘commitments’ as he likes...
  14. We brought in Kaminski, we had Fisher who now plays every week for MK Dons (and is doing well, by all accounts), we brought in the Greek lad... so why was Pears needed on a FOUR year deal (longer contract than I remember any new signing coming in on)? Just like all these property coincidences, I’m sure the fact his dad has a decades old friendship and is a former teammate and member of the manager’s coaching staff, is just another...
  15. In just one article quoting local village residents, I read more about the potential wrecking of Jack’s legacy than from any of our ‘fan groups’ since this whole swizz began. Obviously there’s self interest there, but striking all the same...
  16. NIMBY’s... Assemble! https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/19162618.villagers-vow-block-housing-plan-blackburn-rovers-site/
  17. The two posts that the video was added for have been deleted, but it still works generally for brfcs 😁
  18. After ten years of this regime nothing they do (or actually don’t do) amazes me anymore. The club is a neglected shell with cash pumped in merely to keep it is as a going concern. There’s no actual drive to achieve anything from the owners down, so situations like this do nothing but divide the fanbase... which is a decent situation for Waggott and crew to operate in anyway.
  19. At normal clubs, of course. Here not so sure. But there’s no point even giving it much thought until the annual Pune summit in June... he survives that and he’ll be here for the remainder of his contract (or maybe he’ll even emerge with a new one).
  20. Thought the owners were ‘believed to be displeased’ ? 😏
  21. You imagine club Chief Execs will be giving it short shrift, but the fact the EFL are even floating it as an idea says it all about that organisation...
  22. Yeah that was one of the questions on the ifollow survey I completed, I said a big no to that particular idea, but I imagine plenty will have said a big yes, and why wouldn’t they? It would be a disaster for season ticket sales, as why bother if it’s on ifollow? You would know you don’t need to rush around for night matches (or waste money if you know you rarely bother with them) and you’d also know you can now stay in your warm living room over winter...
  23. Aye, if ever the term ‘flatters to deceive’ was invented for a player...
  24. I can actually picture Waggott and a photographer at the abandoned Royal Blackburn maternity ward, ‘yeah, so Steve, think babies in east Lancs are actually born in Burnley these days’
