  1. Brentford also did the double over City this season too, yet we have some on here who don't think they belong in the Premiership....
  2. I once asked for gravy in a Scottish chippy and they looked at me like I'd come from another planet, I got curry sauce instead and it came in paper, no tray, leaked through the paper on to my jeans....... I've not been to a Scottish chippy since.
  3. The players jumping around in the Lancashire dressing room after a win is getting old and cringeworthy. Celebrate wins by all means, but singing and dancing after every T20 game win, has me looking over my shoulder making sure nobody is looking at my phone.
  4. Luton have certainly broken the mould here, 90% of the time clubs with Premiership money take the promotion places, but not on this occasion, well done to them, it shows what can be achieved, especially with them coming back from the abyss! I remember them back in 80's being in the first division (Brian Stein, Paul Walsh and Mick Hartford), a pipe dream for Blackburn Rovers at that time, they also won the league cup at Wembley beating a very good Arsenal side, so they do have pedigree. Good effort.
  5. Holly Tree Chippy @Mattyblue, even comes with scraps! I'm starving now.......
  6. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0ff7cg0 - You can download all episodes now if you don't want to wait. This BBC documentary about the troubles in NI was superb, accounts given by people that lived through it on all sides. The conflict was front page news for 30yrs, bombs, shootings and murder were a staple diet for many, this documentary lays it all bare. Thankfully, peace is holding firm, and I hope we never go back to these dark days again.
  7. Brighton giving City a game here, just scored a cracker, top corner, 1-1, setup by Jason Steele. I remember them having no ground and seemingly no future. They came protesting up here in Mellor against the then owner. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/6196041.brighton-soccer-fans-besiege-chairmans-lancs-village/ Keep the faith, Venkys will sod off one day, then anything is possible.
  8. Tina Turner has died after a long illness its just been announced, she was 83. What a talent. Las Vegas 1970
  9. More the fool them I say: Armstrong, Dack, Rothwell, Diaz, at any normal clubs that’s £50m+ right there.
  10. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12883650/jobe-bellingham-sunderland-confident-of-signing-birmingham-midfielder-who-is-younger-brother-of-england-star-jude Looks like Mowbray is trying to get his business done early, Jobe Bellingham £3m from Brum. Back in Lancashire, we'll be sat here at 1 minute to midnight on transfer deadline day waiting for the owners to pick up the phone.......
  11. Very good player, superb buy, £15m player before his injury. Carried shoulder high from the pitch on promotion night in Donny, thanks Bradley, you’ll long be remembered.
  12. Half a season without your top striker 1 fit centre half Still got them into the playoffs with the youngest squad in the championship, Mowbray has done a fantastic job at Sunderland.
  13. I know you weren’t…..
  14. 2 million applications for tickets over the 2 legs, I’ll let you be the judge 😉
  15. This page is almost as embarrassing as having a dedicated burnley love fest. Have a word with yourselves, Inter v Ac on BT sports…… Mowbray has moved on, you lot should too.
  16. Time to close this thread down.
  17. Just a shout out to the fans on the coach that got bricked, hope everyone is safe and well, it’s a frightening experience, many of us can relate to it, thought those days had gone. I wonder if these Herbert’s were involved, ecstasy to agony in 4 easy steps: Wharton, Rankin-Costello, Diaz, Diaz. Clowns!
  18. Sod off! You're much older than that.....
  19. Phenomenal effort by Mowbray at Sunderland, a team that finished 5th in division 1 last season to be on the brink of the Premiership this season, limited budget and striker injured for most of the season! Tremendous effort.
  20. Pathetic by the owners, money down the drain, they really don’t want to go up do they?
  21. What the hell is going on with that barnet?
  22. You said he should be sacked, utter bollox in my opinion, shows a real lack of footballing nous.
  23. Click bait K-Hod…. Anyone calling for this managers head after what he’s achieved this season is on the wind-up.
  24. Glad we won, tremendous support once again, they deserved that result and a shift finally from Diaz. Safe trip home.
