No---they have a bigger crisis on their hands.
-
Well I don't expect him to be sacked any time soon and I hope he can somehow turn it round. However I don't feel that there is any recognition of the size of the task to come. It looks to me that he's putting it on the players for not doing what he's asked them to do. He should be questioning himself and asking whether his selections and tactics, for example, are good enough. I don't see any acceptance of his role in this so far.

7 goals conceded? Never in it? Don't forget we were up there too. Not as if we were mid-table. Can't gloss over this one, for one reason or another we are looking at a crisis.

But we have a more talented squad than the last 2 performances have shown. We've given 7 goals away in those 2 games and scored one. I accept Rome wasn't built in a day and all that but if he picked the best eleven, played them in the right places, didn't change the side every week so that confidence could grow, surely we'd do far better than this? Which players are improved since he came? Not John Buckley who was a regular. Neither Wharton in for the Burnley game---how crazy is that? This project is starting to go very wrong, we can't blame Mowbray for this collapse. Its been alleged that JDT has lost the dressing room, I wouldn't know but they are playing like it. -

The slide out of the 6 begins a few weeks early. -
We've had a lot of discussion from time to time about a European recruitment official, how about one for each of Africa and Asia, given results and performances in this World Cup? Could pay big dividends?
-
And long may it continue!
-
We take too long over throw-ins. Everybody's marked.

That was one of the most deeply satisfying England wins ever! The only way it could have beeb bettered is if it had been against Australia! Well done Stokes---absolute champion.
-
We have usually started slowly. Its a definite plan. For much of the first half we suck the life out of teams, then pounce when the game opens up. Its working! Haven't lost a game, have scored 3 goals twice, are not conceding and finished a clear top of our group. We were never favourites to win and we're a bit unlucky to face the World Champions next up, but we have done well so far. Like everyone else I fear Maguire might get a pasting from Mbappe but presumably Southgate has something in mind to counter that. It won't be pretty! So I'm realistic and prepared to not win the tournament but a little bit of me thinks we might!.

England 264-6, lead by 342. Wait! As I type Brook out for 87! So 264 for 7 and Brook out last ball before tea. England scored at 7.5 runs per over in that session.

There was that game at Ewood where he beat us on his own and made Matt Woods look a donkey. So a fantastic performance that day no question.
-
Look at the Riverside eh?
-
Best player I've seen at Ewood---Bryan Douglas! Hundreds of times!
-
He played really well for us but I'll say no more.

You are right in all respects! Still a winner in the Premier League at 37! Kenny wanted him to stay but his knees were killing him. Couldn't even train between games but, come Saturday, no-one you'd sooner have at he heart of defence. My all-time hero, the best signing we ever made.
-
Chaddy has everything he needs in Accrington thanks!
-
Well apparently not! Martin Tyler seemed really surprised the off-side wasn't given. It looked offside live but the margins are so fine I suppose.
-
What a game! Incredibly 3-3! 2 quick goals from Cameroon. 2nd goal probably fractionally off-side but how could Serbia leave the centre of their defence wide open twice in a few minutes when 2 goals ahead? Loving this one.

All great theatre for the mass media. That bit was like something from professional wrestling and Rattin became public enemy No 1 (for a few weeks!). We thought it was hilarious at the time.
-
I was at that game. Good motivational stuff from Sir Alf, the Argentinians weren't really as bad as legend has it!!
-
Yes--he won't be found out in the Group Stage but he will later on!
-
Exciting game, Wales living dangerously!
-
If passing back and forth across the back-line was included as dead time, we'd never get home!

Enjoying Switzerland/Cameroons game even though nil-nil at half-time. One great thing is the the ref isn't being conned into giving petty free-kicks. No stop-start. Quite a change from the Premier League!
