Nothing I've seen to justify Brereton being given a season. 46 games with 10 men! I'm all for giving him a run at some point but It might simply confirm what most of us feel. Including TM by the way. If he'd cost £1M you wouldn't be arguing that way.

I didn't mean to look like I was having a go at you, it was meant to be a more general comment. I think you can go to and fro with someone over several posts without someone telling you you're bickering or taking offence. So long as its about football! Too often I read that the bickerings putting them off and I just think its an exchange of views. When we get someone inventing a future dispute which they "can't wait" for its a bit much though! So----sorry, I usually agree with your posts too!

You make some good points but, while I am glad we are not losing Dack or Lenihan (it seems) I think we have a very unbalanced side. This is particularly true of defence which has that League 1 feel about it. The worry is that our goals against column was alarmingly bad and you would have thought fixing it would have been the first priority. However we live in hope.

I don't see anything in the most recent posts that deserve the "Daily Bicker" label. Biz and I have exchanged a few posts holding different views, perfectly friendly and nothing personal. Isn't that what an MB is for? I think this "bickering" complaint is overdone and should only apply to personal abuse

Well, I wasn't critical of us chasing Gallagher so any who were can speak for themselves.. But how seriously are we chasing him? Several reports say he wants to come to us but its looking like Brentford will nab him. Chasing and catching are two different things. Finally, if that's our defence on the first day. and stays that way, our chances of the playoffs are derisory. And if Graham gets injured they're even worse than that!

Of course you can, who'd have it any other way? To what matters----if the club's position is officially that the aim this season is the playoffs then it had better get cracking and find the missing players capable of achieving that hadn't it? Talk is cheap and time is precious, thus far the off season's activities are not matching the rhetoric. Would you agree?

Its an expectation that you've embraced above! You've raised it in opposition to what I consider a more realistic appraisal. You can't now just stand aside and say "this is what the club thinks, not me". You've played a stinker there imo! However, there is a caveat. Its whether TM can pull 4 rabbits out of a hat. All I can say at the minute is that I'm not hopeful from what's happened so far and its Brentford who look more likely to secure a playoff place than Rovers. They seem to be hijacking our targets!

Can't agree with this. We have ONE decent, proven striker and he's well into his thirties. We need 4 players at least----centre-back, striker, keeper and left-back. All needed last time, never addressed. Problems are increasing every time we have a failed window (ie every time there's a window) Incredible that TM doesn't cop more flack than he does. Charmed life.

Its a gamble alright but hopefully those who have seen the lad and recommended him have got it right. If he's a Vardy this will be hailed as a work of genius. If it fails it won't be a disaster.

I think we need the two. Absolute nightmare if Graham is injured early on. Shouldn't be a matter of one or the other.

The trouble with that is that Rodwell presumably proved to TM's satisfaction that he had the ability and desire-----but he didn't. Its possible that TM isn't as good a judge as we would want him to be.

We need a striker but I'd prefer to get the goalkeeping situation sorted first.

Should have bought an experienced keeper and kept Raya for the near future. And that's all I'll ever say now about Raya cos he's gone!

Changing the topic, report in the LT about Accy Stanley's friendly at Sligo Rovers where Stanley lost 1-0. 20 "hardy" Stanley fans went over for the game! Love it! Fair play to them.

Keep on trashing your fellow fans.

Or alternatively, some will say that TM has it all worked out and we should get behind the lads, however rubbish a job we think he's done. My post is as pointless as yours!
