  1. Past hour
  2. This kind of public knowledge , with the main players taking up the story , might just be the beginning of the end ! I live in hope 🙏 Why they don't sell the club or put into administration ? They don't want to own it and never have , it is absolutely crazy.
  3. Henry Winter all over this story too, a real friend of the supporters and the club before the parasites took over.
  4. Not part of FFP, so obviously no issue with funding a women’s team as they never refuse a cheq…oh!
  5. 1 in 6 performer at best and breaks down more attacks than he contributes to. Wouldn’t be missed at any club with a competent recruitment team.
  6. I thought the owners can put in whatever money they wanted and there was no issues? If so, the women's team should be easy enough to maintain. Of course, that was nonsense soundbites to appease sycophants and the ignorant.
  7. Today
  8. Celtic mate sent me this. Would tear up that league imo. Know it’s not confirmed but gutted when he goes, the team will be weaker without Dolan.
  9. he`s not been offered new contract, neither have tronsdadt or travis,no talks have taken place picked up for 25k from hereford, thats what i call a bargain
  10. Stanley fan at work said Batty looked decent when he played. Would love him back but knows it’s highly unlikely.
  11. Crazy with how the game is growing and the history that we have, that we are trying to kill our womens team. Surely the value for money in supporting and interacting with our local community must be there.
  12. Play on Wednesday Markanday - score/update - game on Sky Sports Main Event & Sky Sports + Vale - score/update - currently injured
  13. Going back a bit further but I loved Chris Price. The original Duracell bunny, just never stopped runninh
  14. "The Venky family do not get the respect that they so clearly deserve for their loyalty and continued financial support to Blackburn Rovers Football Club" Craig Honeyman, former SEM Agent. 2022. Oh yeah? Let's see how much respect there is for them in the coming weeks, shall we, Craig.
  15. Here are all teams promoted from the Championship in the last 10 years; 2014-15: Bournemouth, Watford, Norwich City 2015-16: Burnley, Middlesbrough, Hull City 2016-17: Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Huddersfield Town 2017-18: Wolverhampton Wanderers, Cardiff City, Fulham 2018-19: Norwich City, Sheffield United, Aston Villa 2019-20: Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion, Fulham 2020-21: Norwich City, Watford, Brentford 2021-22: Fulham, Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest 2022-23: Sheffield United, Burnley, Luton Town 2023-24: Leicester City, Ipswich Town, Southampton 2024-25: Leeds United, Burnley, ???? Newcastle, Wolves, Brighton, Brentford, Villa, and so far Forest, came up and stayed up. Bournemouth, Burnley, Fulham, Sheffield Utd, Watford, Norwich, and now Leeds have yoyo'd with varying degrees of success. Boro, Huddersfield, West Brom, Hull, Luton, and Cardiff all went down never to be seen again. 3 of them will be playing League 1 football next season. What will happen to this season's 3? I think a big part of staying up is having a solid set up behind the scenes. You can spend millions on players, but without a cohesive plan and a clear direction teams will struggle. Luton have found that out very abruptly. They were lucky to get promoted. Didn't really know what to do. Went down, and now down again.
  16. If true, and Ellie has posted on X, and seems to confirm this, it is disgusting. Just shows the depth's these fraudsters will fall to to save a few rupees. I hope that they see the error of their ways, but where they are concerned, I have no hope, just despair.
  17. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ced288q1vg3o And when it was thought they couldn't do any worse by the women's team, they do this. Poor way to treat the team and staff.
  18. How many times have we heard the line trotted out, that the owners never fail to sign a cheque? That can’t be true, if they are given a budget to work to and have to decide, how it is spent. I have no great love for the women’s team and wouldn’t follow it myself, but given it is not affected by FFP and the narrative that they never fail to sign a cheque, this now stinks.
  19. If they don't want to invest, then sell that element or find external investors who will invest. Football in general loses money, it's what most sign up for. That being said, something special could be created with the right vision in our Womens team. As per my previous post, we are seeking the facts, including numbers involved and then will see how we can support.
  20. Thanks for the update Captain Obvious 👍. I know that, but the owners should be putting more money into the club. If they aren’t willing to, then they should sell. It’s not that hard to understand.
  21. The level of funding is determined by the owners. The management at Ewood Park have to work according to what budget is made available to them and decide how that budget is best spent.
  22. We should have the money, our owners are billionaires. Even aside from that, we’ve sold all our best players and not spent anywhere near all of it to replace them with, so we absolutely should have the money.
  23. Absolutely nothing to do with it. They don't want to invest full stop. Our owners are billionaires by the way.
  24. You certainly Mashed Potatoes is a man?
  25. From the Guardian article it appears that certain changes are being imposed on the Womens League Championship division which will lead to a substantial increase in costs - notably the requirement that players are full time professionals. That appears to have prompted Ewood Park management to have a long hard look at whether it is worth it. The level of investment required may be substantial, maybe enough to deter new investors. If one looks at the Womens leagues every team in their Premier League is in the Premier League proper, and of the teams in their Championship only Birmingham, Charlton, Bristol City, Sunderland, Portsmouth, Sheffield United and ourselves were not in the Premier League proper (there is also London City and Durham in the league).
  26. I like this move. These are the players we need to go for. Young with potential and looking at the clubs after him he must be half decent. A lot of them clubs play European football though so have that over us. Saw on a post on twitter from a Bosnian that he has the game for English football aswell
