  1. Past hour
  2. Makes more sense why they would want him, Wrexham are forward thinking and looking towards the future, so buying a few young players who can improve over a few years (especially seeing as they haven't yet got an academy) makes sense. They may even be able to flip him for a quick profit in a year or so if they outgrow him Rovers on the other hand are looking at this goal shy kid as the answer to their problems up front because they refuse to engage with the financial reality of being a Championship club.
  3. That "snake" Eustace eh? Instead of vying for play off contention with Derby this season he could have been managing us in League 1 next season. On less money. What a mug. Still, some of our fans waved inflatable toys at him after he tried to stand up in vain for himself, the players and the overall good of the Club. That'll show him!
  4. Expect another defeat. The real issue is confidence, other than lack of quality. Szmodics, Brereton-Diaz were really confidence players. The current squad is having all "confidence" knocked out of them by a manager determined to follow the Venkys playbook. Lets just hope some of the Academy lads are good enough for League I. The main positive is NOT having to(probably)play the Dingles next season. Grim times indeed- Charles Dickens "Bleak House",anyone?
  5. Ask Tony Mowbray. He wanted to sell Rothwell to Bournemouth, our immediate play off rivals at the time.
  6. I can't see why they would want him tbh. Then again I can't see why we want him.
  7. The problem is most of the players are sub standard to this league and the manager is incredibly inept! Good footballers can play most systems, unfortunately they are few and far between, at Ewood Park. I don't think we have the necessary intensity or fitness to win , so a draw is probably the best we can hope for ! Which in the big scheme of things is not enough !
  8. I’ve been embarrassed about our club so many times under Venky’s ownership, but our own fans waving inflatable snakes at Derby away- that was not a highlight, I’ll be honest.
  9. You forgot to mention the hundreds of letters of support that a former manager, used to get weekly. They must be taking up a large room somewhere.
  10. That's the issue really.... I don't think we have ever been a situation where we have had so few wide players back to front. Only Alebiousu is more comfortable out wide than central of all 20 players on that squad. Even Pickering is a left back whose best game is coming inside to support the midfield, not overalapping and getting to the touchline. Really horrendous squad planning.

  12. U18s team to play Boro today Wolsoncroft Pitt ??? Kelley-Quinn Pates Mansbridge Dunn Sergeant Lister McCoy Higgins Subs - Holt, McIlroy, Ball, Walls, Mbonzale According to Boro, our missing player is Lewis Buamah. Boro think he is a midfielder, but they also think Higgins is a defender, so by a process of deduction based on who else is starting, he is a centre back. Not a name I am familiar with so is likely a a trialist or an U16
  13. Agreed... we've got into a real mismash where some players suit 352 more, and some 4231, and we look very confused all over the place. In October we looked reasonably settled, and while we were obviously going to have a bad season there was enough there to stay up. But the injuries (very predictable...) and the absolutely crazy transfer window (why sign another left back who can't play left wing back when we don't have a fit lwb or left wing? why sign a striker who plays in a front three? why sign no other players??) has really tipped us into looking odds on for relegation. I can only hope it's enough for Venkys to decide to exit.
  14. Not an easy one to call. Hull a form team playing with some momentum and confidence. On the other hand, Rovers due a home win but struggling with their ragtag bobtail team. If I was betting on this one, and I'm not, would go for Hull win.
  15. Why would it matter they wont be playing ... it would be the same situation garbage that comes out of the club and the Vi ... 'they were our no 1 target we have been looking at since last January but need time to get up to speed and adapt to how we play ,or they are carrying a slight injury and we need to manage their playing time so will be a few weeks away from starting '... .......and thats only if by some remarkable miracle anybody is transferred in The club is joke
  16. If Ismael hadn't fecked the lad about, he'd still be playing in the 1st team and wouldn't have picked up the injury in an Academy game. I think the way Rovers have treated the lad after an excellent start to 1st team football is diabolical.
  17. Would be no excuse if Rovers still think its 11.00pm - and there's their excuse ('all agreed but couldn't complete on time').
  18. Today
  19. Yea we all know we are done for, the players know we are done for, the owners probably don’t know what our HomeKit looks like, only way is down. thing is we are helpless to change any of it, so I’m done fretting about it , football is dead for this club until we get new owners
  20. Look at the bottom of the picture that Carl posted
  21. It is an official Old Codgerism. I would not be surprised, however, for the geniuses down at Ewood to cut and padte it in future comms with theirvdevoted, dedicated and discriminating fan base.
  22. The game was played on a Thursday according to newspapers at the time GHD.
  23. Is that the official club statement 😁
  24. The Snakes bollox with Eustace was orchestrated by people within the Club with a grudge to bear. Yet another embarrassment.
  25. Eustace bet on himself in a massive way when he left us in a top six position to take on what appeared to be a hopeless situation at Derby. Fair play to him, he was 100% right to make that choice. That kind of ambition and courage is frowned upon here. It has been since the day Venky's arrived. It seeps down from the top to the bottom of the club. It's why our squad always ends up as nearly-men when push comes to shove. It's why even with our massively superior team we couldn't come top of League One. It's why we have never been able sustain a top six challenge. It's why we're heading down this season. You get brief spells of things going well, but it can only ever be a limited period as the crushing weight of the owners' malaise ultimately poisons everything.
