  1. Past hour
  2. From my recollection Gudjohnssen has missed 3 sitters in 3 games. Tonight will either be his redemption or a confirmation that he's useless. My money is on the latter.
  3. My view is they wont sell in fear of what due diligence might uncover / reveal. Do you think the operation of Rovers has been / is squeaky clean? Let's not forget the investigation by the Indian authorities into the alleged breach of foreign exchange management rules by VHPL - there is some history there. So what is their option? A managed decline is a strategic reduction which normally leads to the closure of a business. Is this what we are seeing with Rovers? If Rovers are finished in 5 to 10 years time, I think Venky's acquisition of Rovers 20 to 25 years ago will be seen as a mere footnote in the history books with hardly a ripple on the pond and who will care? A number of times we have been knocking on the play-off door and our owners haven't seized the initiative. IMO, the operational management of Rovers doesn't convey a burning desire or ambition to get back to the PL. We might well be in a relegation scrap this season and a scrap I don't think we will win. You tell me where you think the club is heading.
  4. Morishita hasn't been much of a spark so far, time he turned up with his boots, and started playing football.
  5. The two lowest scorers in the league. We have managed 7 but 3 were in one game. Got 0-0 all over it.
  6. Just cant see where any goals are coming from. I don't think the team as a whole are that far off, we pushed Coventry closer than a lot of teams have. We just cant score, which then causes us to get nervous at the back. There's a lot of pressure on the midfield and defence knowing 1 goal conceded is likely to loose us the game. We may as well persist with Gudjohnssen if he was a marquee striker signing. The other options are equally as shite. 7. I still don't understand. You refer to obvious reasons why they won't sell and then mention a managed decline, but why? The only thing I can come up with is that they're hell bent on getting their investment back but also not willing to spend money for a promotion push, which leaves them in a catch 22. That doesn't track with a managed decline though. But I'm not an accountant, so if I'm missing something I'm happy to be corrected here?
  8. Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds - Stagger Lee
  9. My main memory of Nonda was watching him break through the Leverkusen defence at home, only to put his chance wide in the 85th min (or there abouts) to send us out of Europe.
  10. Today
  11. Jerry Lee Lewis - Whole Lot Of Shakin’ Going On
  12. Yeh, I'd go with Neophox's team above tbh. Don't think Mori has been all that impressive on the wing tbh
  13. Is morashita injured? I may have missed it if so
  14. It's a bit more than 'opening the books'! Due diligence when considering the acquisition of a company is a thorough investigation by the would be buyer into a company's financial, legal, and operational health before an acquisition. It should leave no stone unturned from both legal and financial perspectives. A big focus is obviously on risk identification and risk mitigation. Due diligence would be undertaken by both accountants and lawyers and for a company the size of Rovers, you would be looking at several weeks' work (even up to 2 months depending upon efficiency of selling/buying teams and findings). It is a timely and costly process.
  15. Post 2010, the stand outs have been Tosin, Van Hecke and Elliot. Branthwaite has come through recently but probably too early to be decent for us. I’ve got a memory of Gresko coming on loan and being great, but dropping off after he signed full-time 🤷🏻‍♂️
  16. And when we're favourites for relegation how often do we hear - 'And the bookies very rarely get it wrong.' I'm not arguing against people's valid points. A devastating loss could well be on the cards. It's more the certainty that they'll dominate us easily, and go on to win 1 or 2 nil. I think we'll be in this game, we'll compete, and some point(s) should be within our grasp. What happens from there, as ever with Rovers, is anyone's guess. Come 9.30pm, if I'm wrong and we've been trounced to a 2-0 nil loss having barely laid a glove on them, I'll take the pelters as a deluded plonker.
  17. Danny Rohl finally appointed at Ibrox. Whilst many Rangers fans are sceptical about this appointment, this lad is the real deal, I hope he’s given the time to put his mark on the club.
  18. That from the exhibit at Blackburn Museum back in the summer?
  19. I'm going 2-0 to Rovers, time we stopped pissing about, and started winning.
  20. I like these, a nice distraction from reading just our own summary.
  21. Would like to see Morishita start tonight - we need some spark / more potential goal threat.
  22. After the reported falsification of the previous official minutes, and the club's seeming refusal to engage with anything other than positive feedback (or trivial issues), any meeting seems utterly pointless. Meeting with these people only legitimises their presence and authority. If their actions were as detailed previously, then Glen and the Action Group's stance is absolutely the correct one. Attending would be a waste of everyone's time.
