From 3-0 up after about twenty minutes the youth team conspired to throw it away and eventually losing on penalties. It was a complete Jekyll and Hyde performance as we saw the best and worst of them. My belief is that complacency set in and we took our foot off the gas and allowed Bolton back into it although I thought we were lucky to actually take it to penalties as Bolton dominated the second half. Hopefully the youngsters and coaches will have learned a bit today about relaxing in a game and losing focus.

Has been progressing since his kick on the knee !!! Wouldn't wager a penny on him wearing the blue and white shirt again. -

TBH, with our medical department's track record on diagnosis and prognosis, I would be surprised to see Tronstad back before 2026!!! -

Billy Whizz used to play for Blackburn College, a million years ago when I was goalkeeper in a very decent side. Alan from Newry, Cointy Doin. What's Sammie Szmodics up to these days, he wondered out loud, apropos of nothing.. - Today

Championship Season 25-26

I have to say I have no idea. It was 20 odd years ago. Maybe even 30. I did go in there last year. Some younger lad had it. Not too sure if he still does. I'd start at the Woodlands. Then work all along Revidge. It was a straight-ish line. West View, Dog, Corporation, Sportsman's, Royal Oak, Knowles, Brownhill, Rising Dead, Bull's Head. As I said yesterday I only did the extras, Wilpshire Hotel and Bonny Inn once. Dukes Brow had 4 pubs, counting the Dog Inn, from the top to East Lancs CC. How far is that? Less than a mile? Amazing to think of now. -

Another week, another kick in the balls on the selection front. It looks to pull the squad together but we will run out of players soon at this rate. -

Official website: ”Elsewhere, Moussa Baradji is available for selection once again, despite the sickening challenge from Ben Whiteman late on in the win against North End, but Todd Cantwell, Augustus Kargbo, Scott Wharton, Balazs Toth and Hayden Carter all remain out of action.” -

Could it be Todd back in the team tomorrow. You never know. Val saying he has made progress and not ruled him out. -

Has the experience which I would prefer. Lewis miller can possibly hold chair with his physicality perhaps. Let’s see what happens -

No chance. We have forshaw and Montgomery plus Gardner Hickman has returned from suspension. Moussa will be eased in. No rush. -

Trondstad got an nasty tackle in the game against Preston, then we scored. Now hes missing four games. I would play same team as against Preston but put TGH in for Trondstad. That means we will rely on Pratt and Kirsti one again but with Elias Chair running we need a runner in Kirsti to take him on. Dont think Forshaw is the right answer there but I may be wrong. -

I also think i'd be tempted to put Forshaw in for Tronstad for a bit of calmness and experience at least for the first half. -

Will Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton receive their 150th caps? You'd like to think so. Wonder if they've even been approached -
And that's before you even take a look at his bank statements.

Two weeks he’s out but 4 games he’s missing it’s a lot. Just as soon as we’re finding the rhythm, it gets halted again and again. Cantwell this game is too soon for him. Tgh is back but this game i would play forshaw and tgh to allow tgh a bit of freedom. He can’t play in that number 6 role as we seen again derby. -

Superb podcast really enjoyed this one. Peters knowledge and recollection of old was fascinating and we often forget life off the pitch and away from Ewood Park for the old boys. I didn't have a clue about any of the things mentioned and thought his stories of travel etc were fantastic. We all like to think our Knowledge of Rovers is healthy but there's so much yet to discover (especially for me Rovers class of 88) Also hats of to Scott for putting all that together it gave me a headache thinking about where you would start with something like that! Clearly it was 1875 💙🤍 Well worth a listen @Herbie6590cheers gang for getting this all together -

Tronstad out for a few weeks… we can’t catch a break. -
Love the Bonny Inn. Still try to pop in there from time to time. Of the two pubs at Ramsgreave you'd have expected the Risjng Sun, which always looked down at heel, to have been the one to shut. Such as shame the Bull's Head has gone - it was a great pub in its day. Knew the family that ran the Knowles Arms in the 1960s Back to the Championship...
