  1. Past hour
  2. Yep, if the NFL about to implode? Of course not, and neither is the Premier League... what future the wider pyramid has is another issue.
  3. When did thousands of our fans take to the Pitch in Protest Jim?....cant remember in my lifetime tbh. We have one of THE most laid back and Apathetic Fanbases in Football.
  4. There's clearly no intention to sell or to get us back to the PL. Those who believe that they are keeping us with a view to getting back to the PL to recover their investment I think are deluded. The only calculations they need to be thinking about are whether they want another 10 years of funding a Championship / League One club to the tune of ยฃ10 million+ a year, ultimately costing them a further ยฃ100 million or more on top of what it has already cost, or whether they are better putting a stop to it now, stopping the drain of money and handing it over for a nominal amount to someone willing to try and better the club.
  5. Good luck and I wish them well; all I'm saying is that in 15 years the club is a continuing state of chaos and decline and nothing has worked. In my opinion the latest softly softly approach is likely to end the same way. Workers don't want to go on strike but sometimes they are forced into a corner and have no other choice and have to take direct action. This is where we are now - in my opinion
  6. Exactly. There's huge untapped foreign markets to go at yet. See what the Spanish and Italians are doing; league games being played overseas. It'll be the same here eventually.
  7. It is simple enough to get it out on social media the connections and ask "Is this pure coincidence, or the reason the owners deny having had any queries as to the availability of the club"? The links are above, for anyone who wants to use them and as Jimmy Cricket once said "And there's more".
  8. No it wouldn't. Think back to similar recent events of mass disorder and how many people were nabbed from CCTV retrospectively. Efforts are ongoing in different ways, as I'm sure you know.
  9. It is all pure coincidence, HONESTLY https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Owen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Kean https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-gestede-melbourne-kean-19296668
  10. I've heard that Suhail considers ยฃ200m as the magic number that would convince them to sell. But that's pie in the sky stuff and they aren't getting their money back. Even Chansiri is not mad enough to ask for that. The only way they would get that is to gamble and get back to the Premier League. They aren't going to do that with Suhail on the pursestrings. The reality is that the club will continue to be a financial drain for them. Suhail will continue to pick up his hefty salary while cutting costs to try and minimise that drain to keep his cushy deal going.
  11. I do what I can at my age but we were there in the trenches when it mattered Thousands on the pitch did make a difference then - and only a few were arrested. The same would likely happen now If you don't try you'll never know
  12. Rhetorical question: how significant is this contact? Should we put it out there? If so, we could decide when and how to use the information for maximum impact
  13. Rovers 0 - 2 Cheadle Town Stingers Cheadle Town Stingers? ffs
  14. Yep all roads always come back to this and is the reason in my opinion, why the will not entertain offers at any price.
  15. 15 years later and we're still in bed with this bastard!?!
  16. No chance young Merce was on the pitch, heโ€™d have been well ensconced in the Nuttall Street or Riverside upper tier.
  17. When you reach a certain age you become more circumspect about exposing yourself to potentially dangerous situations. That is not fear but commonsense. I would ask you to stop trolling. I feel sure other users of this MB are also bored and fed-up with it.
  18. I think it was Bobby Moore who answered 'the first two yards are in your head' when he was quizzed about his apparent lack of pace.
  19. Scottish legend has it that he โ€˜cannot pick his own noseโ€™โ€ฆ
  20. His son is a cracking player too..........
  21. Go on then. Give us a clue...in code if necessary.. e.g. a distant relative of Hans Christian...
  22. Checked it out, xG is based on xG measures the quality of a shot based on: Distance from goal Angle of the shot Type of assist (through ball, cross, etc.) Body part used (foot, head, etc.) Defensive pressure Shot type (open play, set piece, etc.) The person taking the shot has no influence on xG, I suppose this is where the comparison of xG vs actual goals to judge a players worth is useful.
