  1. Past hour
  2. Scott Walker - The Old Man's Back Again
  3. He was always down to play at that time but he rarely did! Got extra spectators in though!
  4. I watched my first game in 1952 aged 2 so remember nothing of it! My Grandad, Dad and Uncle were all at the 1928 Cup Final. I had a season ticket from age of 5 in the Nuttall St Stand. My Dad stopped going after the 1960 Cup Final fiasco but I continued. In all those years since I have never felt so bad about Rovers state as I do now. The Venkys have no clue about our culture and the memories and dreams that they are destroying.
  5. What stuck me about the Man United win was just how pedestrian the two City full backs were. City were wide open at the back because those two CMs masquerading as FBs got absolutely rinsed time and again.
  6. Recall the JW trust decided to sell the club because they felt the finances meant they were reliant on player sales to fund operations. Venkys were selected as they had the pockets to fund player acquisitions without relying on the sale of players…hard to see how we’d be worse off if the JW Trust had not sold. The club under the trust may not have had the funds for investment but player sales were reinvested and the back office was a functioning group of competent personnel. We now sell players without reinvestment, and have a toxic culture run by corrupt buffoons. For those who believe the Venky have saved our club should consider how efficient we were prior to their “stewardship”
  7. Seen something mentioned about Dominic Ballard at Leyton Orient. Could be worth looking into?
  8. Well there's not many worth anything but Alebiosu comes to mind. German club reportedly after him.
  9. He’s worse than Coyle, at least his kamikaze football was mildly entertaining at times. Not only are we crap, we’re turgid to boot
  10. I think she just didn’t realise how much she knew until she wrote it down 😅
  11. If Alebiouso is back thats absolutely massive. Hope he makes it.
  12. Today
  13. 3 at the back never works for us, many managers have tried it in the past, it may be effective for the odd game here and there just to change things up a bit when necessary... But we're a traditional 4 at the back club simple as that, we've gone so far backwards tactically since ismael took charge its ridiculous and he's clearly to lost up his own arse to revert back to a simple back four Easily the Worst manager since Coyle.
  14. Probably wanted to get in the team, their main striker has like 20 goals in each of the last two seasons
  15. Nostalgia of sorts. Someone on Facebook is selling their Grandad’s Subbuteo set. It is a replica of Ewood Park and he wants it to go to a good home. Thought I would share https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Cy3eHkwzb/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  16. I wasn't expecting WBA to be in the relegation mix, but they're now only four points from the drop zone. Their new manager only has a couple of years first team head coach/manager experience in the MLS, too, so no guarantee that he can turn it around. I don't expect they will go down, but it's a somewhat risky appointment for a club in their position.
  17. The Manfred Mann Earth Band - Davy’s On the Road Again
  18. If he wasn't committing fouls you'd forget he was playing at all.
  19. The Rolling Stones - Soul Survivor
  20. I think it's been taken a bit too literally given Baradji hadn't played for months, hopefully he's up and running straight away.
  21. I was quite clearly referring to the quotes comparing his situation to Baradji.
  22. He signed on Friday and played half a game on Saturday, how ready do you want him to be? Don't think there's much to worry about here to be honest.
  23. In homage to our owners I’d go 6-6-6.
  24. He'll only be looking at players that his agency pals will send his way.
  25. They would do when they've never even come close. And more than likely never will.
