  1. Past hour
  2. I hope a no-confidence vote will follow soon 👀
  3. Struggling to understand what anyone gets out of going to the FF meetings if the atmosphere is miserable/confrontational and the released minutes don't reflect significant amounts of what was discussed. What is the point? It's a complete waste of time, and if what we're hearing on this thread is true then it just aids the club in manufacturing a false narrative.
  4. I think it just shows how far our standards have fallen.
  5. In the summer he was being looked at as a winger. So assessing his attacking abilities was very much relevant. A defensive winger can serve a purpose occasionally but mostly you need one that can attack, if you haven't got a dire or highly attacking full back behind him. He looked much more comfortable last night playing as a wingback.
  6. Both will be assessed but IV says not looking good & expects to be without both.
  7. How do we know Wharton and toth are out? Is it confirmed they won't be starting?
  8. Honestly Raya seems like a lifetime ago at this point, I'd completely forgotten about him.
  9. I spoke about his importance during the summer and got shot down, my simplistic view is to not view his attacking capabilities (if a manager did he wouldn't play). He stops a full back being overrun and is always willing to be an outlet for the ball, being an outlet to take and hold the ball is far more of a skill than people think.
  10. John and Mark should do the honorable thing and resign. It's an absolute farce that they have agreed to the club to publish not signed off minutes and on this occasion completely rule out any amendments. I really hope the other members of the FF put a vote of no confidence in them both.
  11. He's already done better in Spain than Brereton managed. In fact of all the 'stars' to have left us for greener pastures in recent years he's only really behind Wharton in terms of where he's ended up and minutes played. Fair play to the lad.
  12. Would have been nice but obviously too much trouble those in charge.
  13. I seem to remember Pears coming in when Kaminski got injured and actually having a run of two or three games where he looked decent - there was a bit of a 'maybe he's not as bad as all that' on here. He does worry me long term in that he's always got a howler in him, but for a game or two we're probably ok. If Toth is out for more than that then I'd want to bring in an experienced freebee, even if we rotate between them to keep the pressure off Pears, but there aren't that many available that would get a work permit. 37 year olds Rui Patricio and Fraser Forster probably aren't an upgrade on Pears at this point. Lots of games between now and the January transfer window, lets hope the injury isn't bad.
  14. What a disgrace. The Fans Forum, in it's current form, is clearly not fit for purpose. I do not know any of the individuals who attend personally, but where are the morals and ethics to deliberately manipulate the minutes from what was discussed? I see it as a privileged position to be able to directly speak to those with influence at the club and by not publishing accurate minutes, at least twice that I am aware of, is not doing themselves, or the rest of the fanbase any justice. Why any fan would choose to hide facts from other fans really confuses me? Blame also absolutely lies at the clubs door; amending and editing the minutes themselves to portray a different message. Those running the club are absolutely incompetent and need to be held to account. They'll be rubbish their hands together at being able to manipulate the FF this much; this should be reported to the EFL as I am sure they'd be interested to hear.

  17. I'm hoping for, four draws in the championship tonight.

  19. The first goal is important in this game. Not because we can hold on to it but because we KNOW JE can. We have hit good form and we will be up for it. You can guarantee Derby will. My only hope is that John doesn’t get peppered with abuse. He doesn’t deserve it. What happened to him whilst at this club is a disgrace. I think any boos will be entirely undeserved but you can just see them coming
  20. You have hit the nail on the head with Hedges. The criticism has always been unfair. I’ve seen him be called useless and worthless to have on a pitch. Couldn’t be any further from the truth. You can tell he’s the type of player you would love to have on your side - he isn’t obnoxious, he’s not a trouble maker, he works hard and he’s a tidy player too One bad injury spell aside, he’s been ever present. Must be approaching his 150 apps for us now - all for less than £200k. In his time at the club he’s been ever present under 4 different coaches. In that time, we’ve been a top half club every season except for 23/24, which coincidentally he was injured most of that season. In no way saying that was the root cause of our issues that season but it does show his importance to this squad.
  21. Paul wrote a superb letter outlining the clubs unique achievements and importance to the game of football over the last 150 years. There had been hope/expectation that we would be actually making a big deal of celebrating our anniversary so inviting representatives from the above bodies as guests, or to open exhibitions etc seemed like a good idea.
  22. Very much agree, the reason I stepped down after a brief stint over a decade ago was I felt we couldn’t make real change after being lied to our faces in India. Now even more than ever a statement could be made by resigning en masse.
