What an imaginative and monumental way to celebrate 15 years.

We’ve sacked one manager in a decade. The rules of football don’t apply here. -

Now that I’ve paid attention to the source of the figures, could Rachel Dugdale have based her figure on the fact Venkys London Limited costs (year to 31/3/24) were £43 million? -

Fair point actually. Although that does just remind me what a shitshow Venkys have reduced us to 😕 - Today

Attendances in the mid 1980s were dire and weren’t much better in the late 70s, especially in the old First Division..Three weeks after the Grimsby game, I was a married man..😳 -

I can remember two managers leaving of their own accord, with reportedly the club receiving compensation in each case. But who were the two who were sacked ? -
You still going to these mate

So she's just over 10% off. I'm not sure that warrants questioning her sanity. -

You think £6.4m isn’t realistic? If we include events since those accounts were finalised, including the sacking of two managers and a DOF, as well as multiple backroom staff, and around £1.8-2m in agent fees alone, then I think we could hit that additional figure reasonably quickly. -

I did a walk at the nearby saltpans last year and must have driven a couple of hundred yards from the training complex without realising it. We also do a walk at the nearby Cabo Roig. The club mention Benidorm in the report but Benidorm is some 80 miles (or 128 kms) to the north. I know you’ll know that but I’ve mentioned it in case folk are thinking of staying in Benidorm. -

Per the 2024 accounts costs were £38.6m which includes non cash items like depreciation and amortisation of player contracts. To suggest that there will be millions of pounds on top of that as a budget flies in the face of what we know to be the case. -

That will more likely include wages and other running costs, but don’t let that get in the way of an instant dismissal. -
The way he plays. Full of showmanship but 90% of the time no end product. He IS a legend in his own mind!

She refers to a £45m budget for the men's team at the club which suggests that her grasp on reality is at best tenuous. -
Well unless you ignore facts most if not all clubs in the championship are better than us if we are going off any useful metric like professionalism or ambition. I think the word educated guess rather than assumption is a good way of putting we haven't offered enough wages. Whilst no pme knows for sure - although that uncertainty can't be used as a defence of the club - all the evidence suggests that they won't have. You have to ignore a lot of facts and history to imply the club is not messing up on this one.

Whether they intended it or not, we have comparatively few assets left in the playing squad. The club no longer owns the training ground - another asset we will never get back. They have also stripped the club of half it's supporters, a lot of it's respect and all it's credibility. -

Both Poku and Jade Jones will require compensation, will have lots of interest and Peterborough are hard to deal with. -

Isn’t Poku also out of contract at Peterborough. He’d be the better signing if there was a chance of getting him.
