  1. Past hour
  2. For those planning going to the games, the link below will help with a flight to Murcia Airport. The flights are not as plentiful to Murcia as they are to Alicante, but possibly cheaper to Murcia in late July. Manchester is possibly best for those close to Blackburn. So far as the distance to the Pinatar stadium is concerned, it’s around a 30 minute drive from Murcia airport and 50 minutes from Alicante. https://www.skyscanner.net/flights-to/rmu/cheap-flights-to-region-de-murcia-international-airport.html
  3. Yes, and Bellingham signed for Sunderland for a reported 2 million 6 months before Wharton left us. So...what's your point? He's just been promoted to the Premier League, he's the brother of one of the world's most famous current footballers, and he's played twice as many matches for Sunderland (his second club) as Wharton played for us. I don't think his transfer proves the point that you think it does.
  4. That’s right. I think most people probably think the Alicante flight is the one to take, due to club mentioning Benidorm. It’s best to get a flight to Murcia, as the ground is much closer to Murcia Airport. The ground itself, only holds about 3,000 so will be nice and compact. So far as I know, the opposition haven’t been mentioned yet, so no idea, how many are likely to attend.

  7. It's great that MPs are onboard with this. It's a huge issue for the town. The detrimental impact that venkys have had on the town both economically and in terms of our world wide representation are immense. This is much much bigger than just a bunch of football fans complaining about a shit team. This needs government intervention to protect all football clubs, not just ours, and the community that surrounds them. This is our national cultural heritage we're talking about here. Long term I think a coalition of many fan groups of many clubs is needed to force change on this issue.
  8. Open supporters meeting on the agenda (possibly July) and MPs to bring things up in Parliament once again. Tim Farron and Adnan Hussein already had a couple of meetings, are on same page and very much supporting the coalition and seeking answers. Possible documentary on the agenda (can't say too much more on this). Press efforts continue to share wide and far.
  9. The Carpenters - There’s a Kind Of Hush
  10. Out of left field this one, but for the joy of transfer window gossip I had a WhatsApp about Alvero from werder bremer being a loan option
  11. Noticed how many names of the Div 3 goalscorers I can remember!
  12. It helps they have Ryan Grant, wherever he goes he seems to make a success of the marketing. Used to be at Rovers.
  13. What an imaginative and monumental way to celebrate 15 years.
  14. We’ve sacked one manager in a decade. The rules of football don’t apply here.
  15. Now that I’ve paid attention to the source of the figures, could Rachel Dugdale have based her figure on the fact Venkys London Limited costs (year to 31/3/24) were £43 million?
  16. Fair point actually. Although that does just remind me what a shitshow Venkys have reduced us to 😕
  17. Attendances in the mid 1980s were dire and weren’t much better in the late 70s, especially in the old First Division..Three weeks after the Grimsby game, I was a married man..😳
  18. I can remember two managers leaving of their own accord, with reportedly the club receiving compensation in each case. But who were the two who were sacked ?
  19. You still going to these mate
  20. So she's just over 10% off. I'm not sure that warrants questioning her sanity.
  21. You think £6.4m isn’t realistic? If we include events since those accounts were finalised, including the sacking of two managers and a DOF, as well as multiple backroom staff, and around £1.8-2m in agent fees alone, then I think we could hit that additional figure reasonably quickly.
  22. I did a walk at the nearby saltpans last year and must have driven a couple of hundred yards from the training complex without realising it. We also do a walk at the nearby Cabo Roig. The club mention Benidorm in the report but Benidorm is some 80 miles (or 128 kms) to the north. I know you’ll know that but I’ve mentioned it in case folk are thinking of staying in Benidorm.
  23. Per the 2024 accounts costs were £38.6m which includes non cash items like depreciation and amortisation of player contracts. To suggest that there will be millions of pounds on top of that as a budget flies in the face of what we know to be the case.
  24. That will more likely include wages and other running costs, but don’t let that get in the way of an instant dismissal.
