The two lowest scorers in the league. We have managed 7 but 3 were in one game. Got 0-0 all over it. -

Just cant see where any goals are coming from. I don't think the team as a whole are that far off, we pushed Coventry closer than a lot of teams have. We just cant score, which then causes us to get nervous at the back. There's a lot of pressure on the midfield and defence knowing 1 goal conceded is likely to loose us the game. We may as well persist with Gudjohnssen if he was a marquee striker signing. The other options are equally as shite. I still don't understand. You refer to obvious reasons why they won't sell and then mention a managed decline, but why? The only thing I can come up with is that they're hell bent on getting their investment back but also not willing to spend money for a promotion push, which leaves them in a catch 22. That doesn't track with a managed decline though. But I'm not an accountant, so if I'm missing something I'm happy to be corrected here? -

My main memory of Nonda was watching him break through the Leverkusen defence at home, only to put his chance wide in the 85th min (or there abouts) to send us out of Europe. -

Yeh, I'd go with Neophox's team above tbh. Don't think Mori has been all that impressive on the wing tbh -

It's a bit more than 'opening the books'! Due diligence when considering the acquisition of a company is a thorough investigation by the would be buyer into a company's financial, legal, and operational health before an acquisition. It should leave no stone unturned from both legal and financial perspectives. A big focus is obviously on risk identification and risk mitigation. Due diligence would be undertaken by both accountants and lawyers and for a company the size of Rovers, you would be looking at several weeks' work (even up to 2 months depending upon efficiency of selling/buying teams and findings). It is a timely and costly process.

Post 2010, the stand outs have been Tosin, Van Hecke and Elliot. Branthwaite has come through recently but probably too early to be decent for us. I’ve got a memory of Gresko coming on loan and being great, but dropping off after he signed full-time 🤷🏻♂️ -

And when we're favourites for relegation how often do we hear - 'And the bookies very rarely get it wrong.' I'm not arguing against people's valid points. A devastating loss could well be on the cards. It's more the certainty that they'll dominate us easily, and go on to win 1 or 2 nil. I think we'll be in this game, we'll compete, and some point(s) should be within our grasp. What happens from there, as ever with Rovers, is anyone's guess. Come 9.30pm, if I'm wrong and we've been trounced to a 2-0 nil loss having barely laid a glove on them, I'll take the pelters as a deluded plonker. -
Danny Rohl finally appointed at Ibrox. Whilst many Rangers fans are sceptical about this appointment, this lad is the real deal, I hope he’s given the time to put his mark on the club.

After the reported falsification of the previous official minutes, and the club's seeming refusal to engage with anything other than positive feedback (or trivial issues), any meeting seems utterly pointless. Meeting with these people only legitimises their presence and authority. If their actions were as detailed previously, then Glen and the Action Group's stance is absolutely the correct one. Attending would be a waste of everyone's time. -
I think 10 years is a bit of a stretch but over recent years yes. In decades as an accountant, I worked across many fields in industry, commerce and sport (including football) and I can't recall any acquired business where the ownership was so remote, detached and seemingly hands-off in the organization and management of its business (a business some would consider to be in relative free fall). I would have expected such a business to have either entered insolvency or been sold many years ago. So what is our owners' end objective? I do not think they will ever sell - I understand over the years there have been a number of expressions of interest in buying either the club, or a part of it (Battersby and cronies being one that made it into the public domain some years ago), but all seemingly rebuffed. IMO, it's a managed decline with an almost inevitable conclusion as I posted yesterday. Even if our owners were minded to sell, the only way they would get back any sizeable part of their 'investment' of £200million+ is if we got back to the PL - it wont happen.

Early days yet, but a solid enough start for Keef. Looking like this season won't see the three promoted clubs all go down again, anyway.

Brentford on course for about mid-table on current form, despite having a fire sale in the summer. Didn't know Keith Andrews had it in him.

If you walked into a museum and damaged a historical item what would the repercussions be? Surely all these clubs that are founding members or formed in the 1800s ought to be protected by law. And its not 'just so the fans have a team forever' I mean I ought to be a right of passage to be protected there wouldn't be the modern game if it wasn't for these clubs 150+ years ago.
