  1. Past hour
  2. Agree but I think Anderson is much more of an all action player. He's suited to rice because they can both switch roles during the game. Wharton doesn't need to do alot of running as his positional play is exceptional. He's more suited to the heat next year
  3. he is our head of administration. Basically Club's secretary and replace Iain Silvester Brett B. | LinkedIn
  4. Today
  5. They definitely reinvest money earned from sales. Not sure that their current squad shouldn't be where it is, They have done similar to Rovers and replaced those who have left with players without Championship experience from overseas, Albeit at a much higher price (Harry Darling being the exception and their equivalent of Sean McLoughlin in terms of someone with Championship knowhow). Sergeant is a stand out player at this level, but many of their new signings look substandard/inexperienced at this level, and Medic/Duffy in their central defence make Pickering look like Usain Bolt
  6. They reinvest what they sell though I think I read over the last 2 seasons they have spent close to £50 million pounds...the players they have sold deserved and needed to move up a level and had been there a couple of seasons, not shoved out the door like happens here. I think it would be a good job for him ,yeah they are in the bottom 3 but on paper their squad shouldn't be.
  7. If JDT does get the job either Norwich or Swansea job wonder if Remy Reijnierse would be his number 2.
  8. Not convinced Norwich is the right job for him. Yes they have a goalscorer in Sargent, and while I don't know enough about the Norwich players, do they have the capabilities to play JDT ball? They're in a relegation battle after all, and I'm not sure his way of playing is the way out of it. Despite keeping hold of Sargent, Norwich do tend to sell their better players each summer, so again, not sure he will get the backing he might want. I'd wish him good luck but Norwich are rivals for relegation so far....and you just know if he goes to another Championship club that he'll come back to haunt Rovers, as Eustace has done.
  9. I read somewhere that the club ( Pasha ) decided not to issue a new 150th shirt while there were still lots of stock of the gold and green shirts left to sell. I just checked on line and the only sizes left of the gold are Small, 4XL and 5XL. The green has Small and 5XL I suspect there won't be any special 150th shirt now because they don't want to pay for anything that may be seen as a partial risk during this period of cost cutting. Maybe the book hasn't sold well and they are taking the hint. 135/15
  10. They're just bullshitters whose sole purpose is to retain their 'Head of' status, that they have no right to occupy to start with, for as long as possible because they know full well they wouldn't get anywhere near equivalent status at any other Club, in any other league. One look at their past roles tells us that. Yasir Sufi doing 'community development' roles for Lancs CC and Rovers, next news he's 'head of' commercial. Shadow man Pasha, I doubt even he knows what his job is these days as his title seems to change every time he speaks, but I'm sure his little kingdom beats driving cars for Balaji or whatever he was doing before coming here (does anyone know yet what his background really is?) Talbot, once secretary to proper executive staff, by process of elimination finds herself as 'Head of' operations Gestede, a random ex-player with nothing to do after hanging up his boots, suddenly finds himself 'Head of Football Operations'. His favourite excuse of 'the previous players didn't want to be here' shows him up. He's playing to those who still want to boo those nasty ex players and staff for leaving, without addressing the bigger issue of WHY all our players wanted to leave, which of course (even if true) ultimately comes back to the rotten regime at Ewood. Truly scary stuff but striving for excellence, growth, improvement has never been on the agenda here. I'd forgotten Brett Baker even exists The lesson to learn is that saying the right things and being willing to tolerate the freak show here sees you get a nice title and cushy number, the only inconvenience to which is having to turn up to these sort of meetings and blag your way through it with a litany of excuses and hard luck stories.
  11. Tyjon & Montgomery possibly play later today https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/november/15/igor-and-kristi-set-for-action/
  12. i beg everyone to never pay attention to any of those online wage 'resources'. (FM salaries might be in the right ballpark, but, at least from back when I played the game years ago (RIP RoverCanada with free time), you'd often find teams' reported wage bills way below the numbers you see in their actual accounts as they don't tally all the various bonuses etc, plus non-playing staff, on that main screen... I digress) --- Overall, Pickering's been quite a good L1 pickup. Never a top LB, but steady enough. 125 Championship apps ain't too shabby for, what was it, £500+k? Have to suspect his lacking physicality hasn't endeared him to VI, and he doesn't really fit in a 5-3-2 system. I was surprised Hedges was put in at LCB over him (or Ribeiro)... Although thought Hedges managed ok in the end (was only able to half watch that game, so happy to be corrected!)
  13. Yep...perfectly normal.😯 Nothing to see here, happens at most Clubs crys the Ego.
  14. The Forum's an utter sham these days in general but FWIW members should if nothing else try and get a straight answer next time about Lynsey Talbot's ambivalent comment that work on a drainage sleeve was due to start "that week". We've heard nothing whatsoever about it elsewhere so presumably this isn't taking/never took place.
  15. The question really is Why did all those senior players suddenly want to leave. Another set of major coincidences, again ?
  16. https://images.gc.roversservices.co.uk/09261bf0-ba5e-11f0-8f76-3d5b2160a192.pdf Anyway. What I was alluding to.
  17. The link doesn't work for me, the white tab appears to have disappeared on the Fans Forum Section.
  18. Rage Against The Machine - Pistol Grip Pump
  19. The Fans Forum page is still there. Just been on Rovers website and all the previous minutes are there.
  20. Must admit, I do like Elliott Anderson and I think he’s got some good qualities. But, Adam Wharton is a proper player and I’m not just saying that as he’s local. He’s the kind of player worth the admission fee alone. What was it Mowbray said about soldiers and artists? Well, Anderson a soldier and Wharton an artist, in this example.
  21. Shame a small Mediterranean state and/or St John’s Ambulance hadn’t trademarked that cross…
  22. Fair enough, obviously been made more difficult to find though as I always went via that route. So, published then. Eight ‘Chiefs’ and ‘Head Ofs’ for the Fans Forum, if ever there was a neat example of how you stumble upwards at Ewood Park. No final figure for ST sold, perhaps the magical figure of 9,000 wasn’t even hit. RG said all the senior pros wanted to leave, hmmm, yeah nothing to worry about there and he will ask about January ‘in due course’, yeah no rush not as if we could be deep in a relegation battle by then or anything. So all in all the usual deflection and ‘can’t, can’t can’t’
  23. To use on a black away shirt in monochrome format as is trend these days…🤷‍♂️
  24. Making this more contemporary & therefore protectable from now on…
