Into the living memory and it all gets exciting from here on in. Looking forward to hearing the opinions of those who remember this period with fondness like @bazza @Fred Cumpstey @jim mk2 @47er @Tyrone Shoelaces @GHD and no doubt countless others. As a nearly 40 year old Rovers fan myself I remember stories from my grandfather and also my dad (who would have started going in this period) some HUGE Rovers names. Clayton, Douglas, England, Newton, Ferguson, Harrison, Eckersley, Briggs, McGrath.... going to be an interesting list!

Agree. sure he's having a great time over in Spain too. Tbh, he might do better coming on as a sub, up against tired players, with his trickery and the slightly more space afforded in La Liga. Could be more productive that way.

Once we discover the extent of the injuries, I hope you go back on there and tell them to stop moaning (although I hope neither are injured but we just ain't that lucky) -

Good post. Nothing is secret the digital era - teams are studied for threats and weaknesses and managers will have been looking at how we've managed to win 3 in a row and act accordingly. Watch what Eustace does on Saturday Important that Cantwell comes back -

The squad is very poor and injuries will really hamper us but from what I have seen this season , the league is piss poor probably as bad as I have ever seen it ! -

Even if he ends up a squad player in La Liga, the boy's done good. He's not a failure if he isn't starting every week.

He's a streaky manager. We'll go 4/5 unbeaten, followed by 4/5 losses. I don't think he'll ever be classed as a good manager for us, we'll just plod around mid-lower table. -

You don’t take your captain and your goalkeeper off with “ fake injuries “. -

If both Wharton and Toth are unavailable I’d be happy with that starting line up. Who would be captain in those circumstances ? I thought Wharton was doing a good job in the role incidentally. -

Seven games between the 21st November and the 13th December will be the tester of the resilience of the squad... and that's before the standard new year meltdown. - Today

Bad tackle from behind, got up, my knee felt a bit odd but OK and tried to play on, then I collapsed in a heap. Damaged PCL. It was my last ever game of football, never played again. Hope Toth is OK

Another bump for this today - we've now sold 290 of the 380 copies available which is incredible, so thanks a lot for the interest and positive feedback. Expect it might sell out at Saturday's match but it can still be purchased ONLINE HERE or via EBAY HERE. -
Yep, always a worry when there is nothing in it at the time. Really gotta hope he's not out for the long term.
-
If Toth is out for a while, it may not be the end of the world. What would be required, is for Pears to stand up and prove that he is a professional goal-keeper. I hope if called upon, he can do that.

when it happened @rog of the rovers said the same to me & I recall Shearer playing on for a short while after he did his. Looked innocuous but…

I don't just like to see how they thought they played but thought this was funny -
Hope to God I'm wrong but please don't let it be an ACL injury. It looked so innocuous at the time but those can sometimes be the worst.
