  1. Past hour
  2. When you reach a certain age you become more circumspect about exposing yourself to potentially dangerous situations. That is not fear but commonsense. I would ask you to stop trolling. I feel sure other users of this MB are also bored and fed-up with it.
  3. I think it was Bobby Moore who answered 'the first two yards are in your head' when he was quizzed about his apparent lack of pace.
  4. Scottish legend has it that he โ€˜cannot pick his own noseโ€™โ€ฆ
  5. His son is a cracking player too..........
  6. Go on then. Give us a clue...in code if necessary.. e.g. a distant relative of Hans Christian...
  7. Checked it out, xG is based on xG measures the quality of a shot based on: Distance from goal Angle of the shot Type of assist (through ball, cross, etc.) Body part used (foot, head, etc.) Defensive pressure Shot type (open play, set piece, etc.) The person taking the shot has no influence on xG, I suppose this is where the comparison of xG vs actual goals to judge a players worth is useful.
  8. I know of a very specific contact that Owen, Gestede, and Pasha all haveโ€ฆ
  9. Several times Glen mentions how Pasha came across as aggressive and arrogant in his manner, talking down to those fans who were present at the Forum. That tells you everything you need to know about these gobshytes running our Club, unprofessional and not fit for purpose. How the hell do you converse and negotiate with individuals like that? What a mess we are in.
  10. "Trust us", and subsequently bin bagged an experienced (although difficult to like) manager for a man who has no mens game/pro managerial experience (admittedly holds an A license) and is the same religion as the new owners. Now I have no problem what religion, ethnicity, etc a manager is however to clear an experienced one out who has stood by that club through it's darkest hours to replace with one who wouldn't appear on paper to have been in the running anywhere else doesn't seem a great foot to get off on.
  11. So, you aren't willing to do anything, but you expect everyone else to risk their liberty and storm the pitch? Okay then. Thing is, even if that did happen, I'm unconvinced it would make any difference.
  12. I think it's 20 including Leonard, out of that lot that we would have to register.
  13. I know mate, purely putting the info in there as some contrarian will use it against me at some point I'm sure
  14. I understand your point, however, there are ways of protesting and expressing your discontent without risk of getting a criminal record. I would willingly participate in any substantial and well organised protest(s) / activities. I also did my bit, when needed, along with others like @jim mk2 many, many years ago - as to how effective those protests were, buy a pint or two for Rovers' fans of my generation in your local!
  15. What!? this is dreadful if true, i have just signed up to the membership for access into the blues bar before games.. What the hell is there going to be to watch before games? Its not the best as it is. Also last year we had membership cards for the blues bar, i was emailed by someone at the club saying i have to show my email of proof of payment to get in from now on, all seems a bit tinpot. Has anyone else had to show a confirmation email on entry to gain entry into blues bar on matchday? My first game is the norwich one. I imagine everything in the bars gone up in price for a worse experience in it than last season. That has annoyed me.
  16. I do believe they are known to certain people, so it could be a step in the right direction, if one did go public. More importantly, maybe an HONEST statement from the owners to explain the reasons for not even looking at any bid, despite the legal problems they have, the hassle they are getting and the adverse publicity owning the club is bringing. At least we know with Chansiri that he is not satisfied with the amount he is being offered, with these lot, it is no, we are not interested in selling and I assume that is at any price.
  17. I think if it is only a RW then it has to be be quality (stating the obvious) and someone than can atleast give us an edge to feed Cantwell and Ohashi
  18. And i bet they still have Skysports on in their clubhouse ! One thing that struck me about that takeover was in a BBC interview there were 2 fellas and one of them said 'Trust us'..... ๐Ÿค” I'm sure that sounded familiar.
  19. Taking direct replacements for the likes of Travis and then if they go, Tronstad and Hyam as a given, and a seperate issue. A right winger and striker obviously are essential. On top of that, I think we need another winger as we dont have any quality there, a midfielder as Montgomery/Forshaw are not of the required quality. And ideally another centre back due to injury proneness. Its about quality, not just names written down. Even if we bought a right winger and striker and loaned 2 or 3 on top, that would be ok. As it is, only a right winger seems to be on the agenda. Not only do we lack quality but when injuries hit we are going to look very weak.
  20. Good post mate, do another one at the end of the window and see where we lie heading into September. Be good to keep this thread alive and keep updates. Whether players develop and improve or ones that tail off, injuries etc ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  21. The timing to take over this club now is pretty good. We are (still) in the Championship and 'new owners come to the rescue in the 150 year anniversary season'. Would make for some great PR. Finances can't be all that bad either compared to some of the others clubs in the division.
  22. Will listen to it later We need one of these prospective buyers to go public with their interest in buying Rovers
  23. Troy deeney picked ampadu over Wharton in team of the week lol
