  1. Past hour
  2. We were chasing shadows for 3/4 of the game. All their players were technically accomplished, fit and faster than us. Pass and move off either foot. Play in to runners. We play walking football, they played running football.
  3. Haha nice. Until we see him in a Rovers shirt, he both is and isn't a Rovers player. Even Schrodinger would have struggled to explain the third option of 'even then he might not be'.
  4. ……or draw at say around 300-5, which would upset the bish-bosh-bang brigade but would be perfectly acceptable
  5. If there’s a way to keep both Trav & Tronnie, I hope it can be worked out.
  6. I'm not keen on Trav leaving at all either, although I do rate him ability-wise more than most. I think describing him as very limited is always a bit harsh. He's not the most technical of players sure, but I don't think he's as bad as people make out.
  7. Buckley AND Pears! Now I understand what RG was on about in his interview. He said exciting, I say taking a Hail Mary. VI obviously made it a condition of joining that doing the same things over and again and expecting different results is not on. He's decided to bin most of the team and start again. Brave man. With the exception of Brittain I'm not going to miss any of the departures, DB maybe but as others have said - ageing and injury prone. I doubted it before but I think Trav going may actually be on the cards given the clear out. VI is taking his punt and for good or bad reasons RG is going along with it. We could be looking at a near completely new team this year. Someone somewhere is confident and backing themselves though I confess it's not me. Good luck VI, you're going to need it I think.
  8. It is time now to give your minutes of the meeting. If the person entrusted to do them cannot get agreement of their accuracy then several versions will have to do. The gospel according to Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, all had their differing version of events, so if it’s good enough for them ……..
  9. Agreed, got to give Gestede credit for not messing around. Must be difficult working with a shoelace. No sign of a loan either which is good.
  10. See Hull have picked up John Lundstrum on loan. Another good signing for a club with a transfer embargo. Probably done better business than us this summer.
  11. Maybe limited, ability wise, but a big influence on a game, and when he isn't in the side we do seem to struggle. Perhaps it is time for a new broom though...and a new style of play to emerge from the chaos around the club.
  12. No reason it would be unpopular if it's true. It actually looks to have been a good pre season, like you say we'll just have to see now how good, or not,the new lads are.
  13. golden rule of management is`nt it,never take your frustration out on players in public, they`ll just think your a **** and down tools
  14. I said a few days ago, the scouting department is doing all it can with a budget of nothing and Pasha refusing to allow players to earn a wage. But the long-term damage and reliance on cheap players over-performing expectations will not work in a league where everyone else is spending more and more money on better players.
  15. I’m not keen on Travis leaving, purely because it is just further evidence of our club being dismantled, assets being sold and replaced by Poundland signings. From a purely football perspective, I’ve never thought he is much of a player, very limited ability wise.
  16. I know this won’t be a popular statement, but Rovers have been busier in the transfer market this summer, than they have since I began following them in 2013. IF Miller & Henriksson indeed sign. No, we do not know they guys are going to be great at this level, but imho, the club has worked to find players. However, we still need a forward.
  17. yeah, everyone was wondering where bill fox had found all that money fromπŸ™‚
  18. West Brom have signed 3 players. Nat Phillips who had a really strong spell at Derby. Another defender from the MLS and a striker for big money from Scandanavia. They already have a strong core full of Championship proven players and a couple of really direct wide players.
  19. The first half was poor from both teams and they both improved in the second half with Stanley starting the better and deservedly taking the lead. This seemed to have a positive effect on Gillingham who had the better of the game after this. I thought a draw was a fair result but for Stanley I think a mid table finish will be considered successful. Tyler Walton was Stanley's best player but bizarrely he was substituted after 85 minutes when Stanley were pushing for a winner.
  20. So you still want 3 including Miller (so presumably once Miller and Henriksson sign, just another right winger). Ok. Doesnt explain the need to repeatedly type out your constantly changing "squad plans" which dont even match up to this. Wasting your time and constantly moving the goalposts.
  21. This would be when Livingston and Dobson arrived from Coventry for Β£750,000.
  22. Why have you got Pears in there but not Buckley?
  23. I would personally but Jackson has said they want another centre back reason why I increase but the squad is still at 27 players as it was previously squad plan again keeper - Toth Pears Michalski RB - Alebiosu Miller CB - Hyam Carter McLoughlin Wharton plus 1 more LB - Pickering Ribeiro CM - Travis Tronstad Montgomery Tavares Forshaw Baradji or Henriksson RW - Hedges 1 more AM - Tyjon Cantwell LW - De Neve Karbgo CF - Ohashi Gueye Leonard/or another one
  24. I'd of thought Jackson may of done an article on the Swedish lad seeing as there's been numerous reports, one being he's having a medical. Would be nice to know if this is true or not.
  25. i reckon we can get a result at wba, they have money problems, hav`nt recruited much and their new manager ryan mason is in his first job,0-1 to us,yoshi with a last minute goalπŸ˜„
