  1. Past hour
  2. I was told that George Best as well as being the most talented player, was also the player that put in the hard yards, without complaint.
  3. I reckon there will definitely be a pitch inspection.
  4. Wish, Vale the best of luck. However, I always thought he looked pretty lazy. Not to disparage the likes of Dickov, Savage, Dolan et.al, but if you remove their work rate I'd argue there's no way they carve out the careers that they did/are doing.. I can't for the life of me understand young lads that aren't prepared to run through walls on the pitch.. Unless you're a VERY good player: Benni, Roque, Tugay- who all still put the yards and tackles in, I'm sorry, you're not going far in the game. Reminds me a bit of Leonard, def something there, hope it clicks but think we've made the right decision in both cases moving them on.
  5. Today
  6. Hi, there is an article on Twitter from Rovers explaining how to resolve problem, hopefully.
  7. Struggling to download my ticket for tomorrow. Last match just got a notification and link through and ended up in my Apple wallet but this time going into ticket management and doesn’t seem to be a download option, only forward to friend !
  8. I wonder if there's a chance of the game being called off tomorrow? Torrential rain starting from the early hours of tomorrow and doesn't stop until later Saturday nights.
  9. Bessie Smith - Tain’t Nobody’s Bizness If I Do
  10. Must be quite a tricky job not being able to play the way you want or to your strengths. You have to play football the way the first team coach wants. JDT, Eustace and now Val all with different systems. I feel a bit sorry for Sheron
  11. Is there any point reacting at this point to a dying football club? Especially after reading Howard Walker was on the pitch just last month albeit with some minor criticism on Facebook. Then there's the disgusting Totally Wicked episode. The club and in some cases it's former personnel just sink lower and lower. I'm increasingly of the feeling that it would have been better had Man United snatched the title away at the end. Or better yet if Jack just hadn't bought the club at all. The only consolation is that as a non-believer in the afterlife I don't really believe he's aware of it. Every second I spend on here (which isn't much) is a waste of my time. Enough is enough. Is that something we can agree on?
  12. I remember when dabs were not just fishes, and you could get a bag of scraps.
  13. Let's shake hands on a draw now and save you the trip.
  14. The ticket office is open from 10 am tomorrow but your season card from last season should work unless you have moved areas or gone into another category. We have used ours for both home games so far.
  15. I was told earlier that the barcode (or whatever it is called) changes regularly to stop ticket holders from passing them on through screen shots. I can't confirm whether this is true of not but has anybody else noticed this.
  16. No need for such a system , just continue with the old card one !
  17. They’ve put a warning (for numpties like me) this pm on the X Rovers page against deleting the digital ticket from Apple Wallet. Woops. Looked like I was just deleting the expired Norwich ticket! Of course they’ve closed the ticket office at 4pm to frustrate the necessary remedial action advice!! My retained ST card from last season should get me in.
  18. That's because currents don't go with a John Bull...or chips but iv'e heard barm cakes do.
  19. Can anyone confirm if screenshots of digital tickets work?
  20. Rhodes ? He’s already here.
  21. Step forward David Lowe... 👀
  22. All nigh intensity stuff. We’re going to need more physio’s.
  23. Howard Tate - Ain’t Nobody Home
  24. Does look bloody good but last time went there found it expensive and small portions
  25. I’m still waiting. Not much to expect it 24 hrs before Ko. I can just see this system going tits up one day. Will my ST card still work if I bring it as backup?
  26. Wouldn't worry too much about our last game, something of a freak result. They had a comedy goalkeeper devoid of confidence and on the day ability and a manager so under fire you wonder just how longer he can remain in the job. We played well for once and on the day it all came together, can't hide from the fact (we were helped that) the opposition were so poor and just came apart the further we went ahead. Games before that for us were by and large disappointing. Couldn't win a game from 4 attempts and went out League Cup to Bromley, how embarrassing is that. We have lots of new players come in during the window but McKenna's system simply can't accommodate them or they'll be left on the bench with not all being able to feature even from a subs role. the relegation from the premier league hit us hard, we've sold out many of our most pivotal players since then including Delap, Broadhead and Hutchinson and brought in instead a number of unknowns who have yet to really establish themselves or make an impact on the Championship league. Would want to win tomorrow obviously but there's too many factors holding us back or that makes me doubtful. A draw up there would be satisfactory but we really need to be looking to win as we've lost a lot of ground on the promotion places even at such an early stage of a season such has been our poor start.
