The manner in which funding mysteriously just dried up as soon as they were under investigation leads me to believe that they were always doing something nefarious financially with the club. That's not to say they ever actually funded the club properly, they just had no problems with spaffing 15m on losses that could have easily been avoided by just running the club properly. When the investigation started in 2021 we saw an end to the lucrative contracts being handed out left right and centre (with lots of juicy commissions for agents) and saw a move to allowing contracts to expire when they became too expensive and the fire sale of everything that isn't nailed down. The downgrade of the women's team is the latest of these actions. Although I don't believe that the financial element was 100% the reason for them buying the club in the first place, I'd hazard a guess and say it was a big part of their reason for the purchase. The othere three venktards would have needed to see some benefit to the purchase beyond fat baz wanting a new thing to flex in public. I'd say an overseas business woth turnover in the millions that can make huge losses without drawing much if any scrutiny could be deemed quite handy to a multi billion pound corporation looking to skirt some rules on regulations.

Mate his article is frustrating Makes no sense. It's not even readable. So we have not extended forshaw ? The article suggests we will make a decision later but then says we aren't retaining him -

Yes. They're quibbling over £600k, which tells you how miniscule the budget will be this summer for the men's team. I genuinely don't know what the Rovers fan base has done to earn such vile owners. -
One sure outcome--the fans will get the blame for Rovers inability to pay decent wages of transer fees.

So they've deliberately relegated the Women's team for financial reasons exactly the same as they did with the men's. -

It makes very little sense, at all. It feels to me like it can only be decisions taken out of spite, now. Certainly not the actions of anyone who cares at all about success, reputation, community etc -

A horrible decision, surely there are no financial restraints on how they could be backed so surely our owners could prove their commitment to the club and the town by backing them? -

Funny how Leicester get charged yet Chelsea are Man City don't. Almost as though the system is run totally in favour of the biggest and wealthiest clubs... -

Why do they always have to handle stuff really badly as well? We must be the least professional outfit in the country. Another embarrassing day for us fans, caused by the ownership. -
Which is your team? I was born in Accy, but my parents moved here from St Helens before I was born. All my relations are over there, I've been brought up watching Saints. When my dad died, I found a letter in the loft from 1951,it was from Saints offering him a 3 match trial. I knew about the trial but I'd never seen the letter, it brought a tear.

The two are mutually exclusive. Any investment in the women’s team has no affect on the men’s team or ffp. Its just another prime example of how our owners don’t give a shit about the club, town, or the sport itself. It shouldn’t matter if 1 man and a dog attends or if we have 30k there - we have billionaire owners who should be supporting the women’s game. It probably costs less to run that team a year than Waggotts £600k+ salary and pension I think I’m done with the club this offseason until we see change. Not because of this, but I’m just tired of how long it’s going on. Summed up with this Indian court case (where it seems Waggot has lied to us about - shock) -
