  1. Past hour
  2. Been a bit slow to this story. Let's not beat about the Bush here. This is another salami slice off the club, or the temperature of the frog's water rising slightly. The club is being destroyed one inch at a time. The LT should be able to comment freely on the nonsense that has been going on. The club simply don't want negative attention on their mismanagement. I've said this before, but whenever Venkys sell (which could be years and years away) there won't be a club left to support. It'll be so withered, the fanbase so shrunk and clinging to a PL era in the 2000s, languishing at the lower end of League 1. The fans need to pull together and realise they need to act. It's a farce.

  4. Over the weekend of the 11th and 12th of October we need to carry out some essential maintenance on the forum software and unfortunately there will be down time. This will last from midnight on the 10th of October till the work finishes on the morning of the 11th. If you use your handle or screen name to log in (StubbsUK in my case), the suppliers of the forum software have made a change that means you must use your email to log in from now on, rather than your screen name. We don't expect you'll need to log in after the upgrade, but just in case make sure you know what email address you used to register and make sure it's up to date. The forum will not be accessible during this time, but the front page with all our articles will be. If all goes well most people won't even notice, if it doesn't ... spare a thought for the poor admins trying to fix it.
  5. Gil Scott Heron - Home Is Where the Hatred Is
  6. I think he needs to more than ever now.
  7. The Animals - Baby Let Me Take You Home
  8. Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy
  9. Also at a time when It quite possibly 'pissing it down'
  10. Not a load of difference in quality between Stanley in L2 and a NL game anyway.
  11. Full refund for abandoned games before kick off. Anything after kick off is half price admission.
  12. He went to St. Michael's RC so defo of the wrong persuasion for that mob.
  13. I posted that but upon double checking I was wrong to do so (sorry!). Here’s the (definitely correct) clause from the ticketing terms and conditions:
  14. I used to get “ LoadsAMoney “ from the late and much lamented “ Sportspages “ just off St. Ann’s Square in Manchester. My mate was a Darlo fan and I used to get him their fanzine “ Mission Impossible “ from there also. Great title for a Rovers fanzine these days.
  15. Indeed! From the centrespread of 4,000 Holes Issue 1
  16. In the article that was posted on here it definitely said it was for abandoned games.
  17. Candi Staton - Stand By Your Man
  18. He’s obviously been paying attention. 😁😁
  19. I might be wrong, but I think that is for postponed games rather than abandoned games.
  20. The club are not offering a refund to anyone who cannot make the midweek rearranged fixture. I thought I saw on this site, a post that showed EFL rules stating that a full refund should be given to people who cannot make the new fixture.
  21. What size are you? We still have a handful of these absolutely top quality shirts in stock…😉
  22. Not at all. If they pay the bills there is nothing any regulator could do to stop bad owners being bad owners, unless any (more serious) legal issues arose. Otherwise you'd end up taking a club off someone just because they employed Russell Martin.
  23. No. In this day and age the only feature that determines a good/bad owner is whether you pay your bills on time. If you do you can do whatever you want. If you don't you'll get everyone - PFA, FA, EFL, media coming down on you like a ton of bricks. Let's remember that if it wasn't for the late / non payment of wages there would have been barely a murmur about the owners at Sheff Wed and Reading. It ALL comes from not paying wages/bills.
  24. December. That's usually pretty rainy.
  25. So as predicted the rearranged fixture will be taking place midweek on 2nd December 2025. Why on earth a game cancelled in September needs to wait the best part of 3 months to be replayed I am not so sure but hey, a few weeks before Xmas, dismal weather, should ensure a low turnout. Could have been played in October. Rovers also saying that ticket holders will pay 'half price' for the rearranged fixture which I find odd. In most previous examples surely it would be free entry to those who bought for the first game? Can't imagine the Ipswich lot will be too happy about paying twice but welcome to Venky Rovers. Maybe they'll bring their usual 1000 rather than the tourists who turned up for the cancelled game.
  26. ESPN: Regulator says that bad owners may be forced to sell It's ostensibly about Sheff Wednesday. As Venkys have "always paid the bills" would they fall into this category?
