  1. Past hour
  2. I can't understand why driving Eustace out wasn't the tipping point for everyone. They had the perfect manager for our current situation and either couldnt see it, or could and clearly didnt like what they saw!
  3. I fully respected your choice Josh as I do with other people who made a similar stance over the years including what were good friends at the time. As I said it's a personal choice for everyone
  4. And still we await a responce to the Coalition letter...do they think it will all go away if we win Saturday?
  5. I want to see more than "communication" from them or any other owners, you could communicate freely and still run the Club extremely badly but great post nonetheless. Sums up the last 15 years really well.
  6. One of the all-time Ewood greats and the best strip bar none Take me back
  7. I have been boycotting home games since Owen Coyle was appointed and every game is still a massive wrench. Just neds to be done.
  8. Americans are used to paying silly prices to go to sporting events. The average NBA ticket price is £100, NFL is £120 with concerts being smuch steeper, so spending big money on a once in a lifetime event won't phase an American populace getting more and more interested in watching football. FIFA know this so have priced accordingly. It's not right, but they have a captive audience. Also factor in that the country has immigrants from everywhere who also want to see their country play, and that football fans in America tend to be higher than average earners you have a recipe for FIFA to maximise profits.
  9. Who is the better keeper between all 3 of this? what qualities have they got each of them and would any be ready to step up for first team in a couple of years time?
  10. Agreed. There was always a chance/likelihood that Rovers wouldn't survive long term in the prem. We were squeezed financially and despite the increase in Sky money, it's still a hell of a tough job to stay up there. Chairmen like Steve Gibson who I consider to be a good operator, never managed to establish Boro as a regular in the PL, and there are other clubs who have been up and down. But like you, I despair at the lack of ambition and the directionless, inexplicable degradation of every facet of the club. If we as a fanbase genuinely could see a modicum of a plan, communicated to the fans and operated by a competent board of football operators, then I think some of the pressure would be off the owners. What we've seen for 15 years is crisis after crisis, incompetent board after incompetent board, infighting, backbiting, feathering of nests, shadowy agent involvement, embarassing managerial appointments, embarassing managerial departures.... and now, an obvious (and likely unsustainable) ongoing plan to run the club on the lowest budget feasible. And what do we get from them.... an out of touch AI generated letter at the start of each season.
  11. Nearly 3 goals conceded a game, over 3 seasons, and with more than 3 goals a game conceded last season, is shocking. Pakistan must be terrible to cap him. The only reason I can think for why we have kept him on (aside from our absolute love of hoarding youth keepers) is that if he did come good, it could help tap into more locals for our fanbase. But he quite clearly isn't going to come good.
  12. I agree on Ismael. Saying that Ismael needs to go is a current problem at least though, rather than fixating on staff members that have been and gone and are not current issues. You also arent suggesting that any ambition went with Ismael. There has been no ambition across the last 15 years, consistently. It cant just be pinned on a former manager. Nor are you saying that Ismael has lowered the standards that the current board are just continuing with. By making these sorts of comments, you are pinning the root cause down to individuals rather than Venkys so it is deflecting blame. Saying that their name is over the door sort of does put it back on them but only artificially. Venkys (Suhail is an anomaly here is he is essentially an extension of them, but even then, even he isnt the direct cause) are the problem and always have been, beyond merely just being a name over the door. If you pinpoint what you perceive to be the trigger standard lowering or downgrading of the club down to any individual, whether it be Mowbray, Waggott, Broughton, Ismael, Kean, whoever. Just look before and after their employment. Standards were no higher, its been consistently like this since Venkys came in. We need to focus on them. If people have lost interest/are boycotting for any reason other than the owners then not enough attention has been paid.
  13. But there should be the pride, of playing the game they love, if not to wear the shirt. If guys want to further their careers, they should always play hard.
  14. It’s not particularly where Rovers currently are in the pyramid that gets me..it’s the soulless running of affairs, it’s the morgue of a ground, it’s that lack of respect afforded to staff, some decent players and managers and fans. It’s the managed decline of everything that Rovers stood for in the football world and in the town . It’s the empty shell that is left. I would support in the lowest part of the pyramid if we were to be rid of “ them “ .
  15. At the moment we haven't got a decent team.
  16. I have around 6 shirts that are all of infinitely better quality than anything I have bought from the club (and all cheaper): One is a classicfootballshirts type, two are from FootballTown and three (maybe four?) are from this very site. I will never step foot on Ewood again in a current club replica shirt because they are simply not worth it.
  17. Today
  18. Exactly this. I WANT us to be winning the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup and the League Cup every season. I know it's not going to happen ** but there's no point in being happy with just surviving, it's meant to be entertainment and a release from the often humdrum nature of everyday life. ** Then again back in the 70's and 80's I never in a million years expected to see us lift the League Title either!
  19. If ismael played me, in front of 20,000 Rovers supporters, Rovers would be 3-0 up in the first half hour.
  20. I don't mean to offended anybody, just depressed at the state our Club is in at the moment.
  21. Little Anthony And The Imperials - Gonna Fix You Good
  22. Sorry I'm just pissed off whats happening to Blackburn Rovers at the moment.
  23. We should always strive to be the best. Where would you get in life if you just plodded. I want Blackburn Rovers to be the best club to ever exist, those that are happy with us middling around in the championship because 'when i wer a lad you'd be lucky to get 3,000 on' or 'you've got it lucky in the 70s we lost every week!' that was over 50 years ago. A good business builds year on year.
  24. I agree with your comments, but a 20,000 crowd would motivate a decent team.
  25. Soon to be seven, I fear. Lord knows what this lot will do to us in January.
  26. We have only ever been out of the top two Divisions for just six Seasons in our entire History.
  27. Im not down a rabbit hole at all. You have this idea firmly planted in your head that you can't shake off that Im trying to deflect blame off the owners which simply isnt the case. It's their name over the door therefore everything ultimately tracks back to them. It really is as simple as that. However others shouldn't be completely blameless as you seem to think. Now for example we have imo one of our worst ever managers in Ismael. He needs to go whether the owners sell up tomorrow or not. But, you would no doubt try and twist that view round as me trying to deflect blame off the owners yet again.
