Majiball
Very pleased with that side. Probably the best team we can put out at the moment, the only real missing individual is Samba. Key for us is whether Pedersen can adapt to a deeper role and dictate the play. He has the qualities to do it - good engine, good technique, decent range of passing. If he could suprise us and make a good fist of it that would be a massive advantage. Feel the same way about that side as well. Hopefully towards the end I'd like to see Hoillet replace Emerton position and get him going at Baldie as he fatiques. On Ped's perhaps we should start giving him a Red Bull before matches? RibbleValleyRover
Liverpool should have scored. Move started when Pedersen went wandering and wasn't quick enough to get back. Fantastic save by Robbo, top class.
Backroom DE. Posted October 24, 2010 Backroom Share Posted October 24, 2010 We've started absolutely terribly. We're just hoofing it back to them every time we get the ball. Robbo just saved us from going 1-0 down.

RibbleValleyRover
Jones just saved us there, if his head had not got to it Torres probably would have scored.

Same old ######, different day. Our Scientific master tactician of a manager just won't learn will he. Still he is the expert. Pull your finger out Sam, hoofing doesn't work. Use your bloody brain. BuckyRover
Did anyone really expect anything other than a defeat at Anfield? Blackpool showed us how to do it. We won't do that though

RibbleValleyRover
Getting raped here, long ball going straight to Liverpool who then put pressure on our soft midfield. Pedersen a central midfielder? don't make me laugh.
martmitch
Liverpool are being given so much space is only a matter of time, midfield are sat right back meaning we have no option but to hoof it away and not play our way out terrible so far
beerwins
I dont understand the point in playing so many in the midfield, we dont offer the centre back any option to short pass nor do they get forward enough to support Kalinic. Our tactics totally bypass the midfield so why play 5 there at least give Kalinic a partner so he has a chance to link up with someone from the long balls. Sysagent
If it wasn't for Robo we would be 2 - 0 down, so far a very, very toothless display by Rovers, can't see us coming away with three points from this match at all, unless a major miracle occurs in the next seventy minutes... Miker
Our midfielders are running around like headless chickens atm. We've barely even attempted a pass so far, long or short.
Majiball
Without some pace in the midfield we're just fighting a losing battle. Dunn needs to stop dropping so deep and stay around the edge of centre circle, so at least if Kalinic wins the ball he has an option. Robbo's really starting to look like a good replacement for Brad. Great ball in there by Ped's, no idea why its a free kick to Liverpool though???
