philipl Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 Dunn kept Nolan onthe pitch there- would have been red if he made anything of it. One great chance each in an entertaining game.

Backroom DE. Posted February 12, 2011 Backroom Posted February 12, 2011 Calm down love. Heh, probably a slight overreaction admittedly. I was against the RSC signing originally though, and so far the staples of his second season for us - lack of goals and injuries, are starting to appear within the first few weeks If he scores he'll be king again, but if he can't score that ...
imy9 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Newcastle hit the bar- Salgado is getting skinned by Enrique
Eddie Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Nice chip there. Lucky not to be a goal down after that.
slough_rover Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Jose Enrique sensational so far. He's been linked to a big move and im not shocked.
Backroom DE. Posted February 12, 2011 Backroom Posted February 12, 2011 Newcastle hit the bar- Salgado is getting skinned by Enrique Is there anybody he doesn't get skinned by to be fair?
Gogger Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Why do the commentator hail Bartons behavior just because he DIDNT hit anyone in one incident? Probably just me, but not hitting someone shouldnt deserve praise at all..
Eddie Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Accidental elbow into Barton's face. Well done Martin.
waynerovers Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 nice one ollsson, wonder if morten allowed himself a wry grin
OsloRover Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 We're just not getting out of defense at the moment, not looking like the home team here at all
Eddie Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 There is clearly no love lost between our players and Barton. Think we can rule out the possibility that he would ever join this group.
HairwayToSteven Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 We're playing scrappy football. Lets hope it improves.
Balwer Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 can we get a bit of protection for Salgado please? Emerton needs to come on, either on the wing to be able to drop back in support, or straight on for Salgado at full back. We're playing very direct today too. Still hopeful we can make it seven on the trot against the Geordies.
Eddie Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Being overrun in midfield. Should bring MGP in for Dunn as he has looked completely off the pace.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Newcastle's better central midfield is dominating us. Barton in particular is having another decent game in what has been a very good season for him so far.
jim mk2 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 . We're playing very direct today too. . Under the previous manager it was known as hoofball.
thenodrog Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Crap ref. Not a right winger in sight. Massively Unbalanced
philipl Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 Big HT talk for Kean- Newcastle well on top.
thenodrog Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Crap ref. Not a right winger in sight. Massively Unbalanced
Iceman Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 wtf is Junior doing down the left? surely, he should be attacking down the right.
booth Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 First ten mins I thought we were going to have a go. Then after that awful. Ref is poor too. To say we are an attacking team our final ball is awful. No idea what system he's trying to play, and it doesn't look as if the team do either. Usually Keans changes make us worse, so I'm not expecting much in the 2nd half.
Rover Down Under Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Peders needs to come on for Dunn and Hoilett needs to switch to the right and push Enrique back with his pace. Clearly, Kean wanted to exploit Simpson down the left but so far Olsson has left his crossing boots at home and hasn't done much. Jones is looking lively and was clearly trying to copy Rooney with that volley early on. I think this was to be expected, Nuke have their tails up after last weeks comeback, we are a bit wary and nervous after shipping four. Kean's half-time talk and second-half subs are going to be crucial if we are going to get 3 points.
Bobby G Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 No shape. No central midfield. No protection on our right. Very poor. Only one side look like winning this. Needs to give us some shape asap.
