Backroom Tom Posted April 29, 2011 Backroom Posted April 29, 2011 Referee: Mike Dean - could go either way really, I always thought Foy was one of the best but he was shocking against Brum Anyway it would be amazing to score the first goal, I can't remember what that feels like.

47er Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Amazed to see some people would drop Benjani after being out best player going forward on Monday. I'd have him up top in front of rochina with nzonzi and jones behind and ideally hoilett and olsson on the wings. Robbo Salgado jones samba givet Hoilett nzonzi jones olsson Rochina Benjani Spot on. That would be my side too.
Steve Moss Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Coyle thinks Kean will come good. Maybe Coyle will fulfill his own prophecy and gift the Rovers a win? http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/188659/Crazy-to-call-time-on-Steve-Kean-warns-Owen-Coyle/
philipl Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 It doesn't matter where you are in the table- the bottom two and the top one when relegation and title issues are still live are not the last three fixtures you want to have. This really is a must win for the sake of our Premier League surviival.
Zulu Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 It doesn't matter where you are in the table- the bottom two and the top one when relegation and title issues are still live are not the last three fixtures you want to have. This really is a must win for the sake of our Premier League surviival. Not sure about that Philip. Whilst it would aid your cause no end beating us today your important games are "must not lose" games against West Ham and Wolves. That's where your destiny will be decided in the remaining fixtures - not today.
gumboots Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Not sure about that Philip. Whilst it would aid your cause no end beating us today your important games are "must not lose" games against West Ham and Wolves. That's where your destiny will be decided in the remaining fixtures - not today. The problem is that the must not lose games are the ones that Rovers always do lose - not just this season but going back over the years. Add in that we've almost forgotten what a win feels like and it's relegation here we come.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Not sure about that Philip. Whilst it would aid your cause no end beating us today your important games are "must not lose" games against West Ham and Wolves. Stuart Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 We can't keep drawing or losing games Zulu, sooner or later we're going to need a win to stay up this season. Exactly right and, for me, today represents our best chance.
chaddyrovers Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 my team would be:- Robinson; Saldago, Samba, Jones, Givet; Hoilett, J Jones, Nzonzi, Olsson; Kalinic, RSC (if fit) otherwise Benjani. I think we will win today. today would be a good time for RSC to score his first goal since coming back. We need today to perform like we did against Man City. we need to front foot from the start and NEED to score the first goal. come on Rovers
RibbleValleyRover Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Not sure about that Philip. Whilst it would aid your cause no end beating us today your important games are "must not lose" games against West Ham and Wolves. That's where your destiny will be decided in the remaining fixtures - not today. We never beat West Ham at West Ham and looking at recent history we always put in a pathetic performance on the final day of the season, if that's the case again then Wolves should win that one. Rovers have to beat Bolton IMO.
Hekla Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 We have to win today, it is that simple. Robinson Salgado Samba P.Jones Givet Hoilett J.Jones N'Zonzi Olsson Benjani Kalinic
rubecula Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Wishes for the best of luck to you folks, and maybe we can help a bit when we play Wigan. COYB (yours and ours)
Blue n White Rover Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I just had a nightmare that Junior was stabbed by Balotelli on the train. Anyway, huge game for us today and I'm nervous as anything. Taking the whole family today and with the weather looking decent we may get the last minute rush. I think a win today will go a long long way to securing our Premier League status. Come on Rovers!! Presty, Pedersen is going to score today.
the original david brent Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Only around 1,600 tickets left in home area's. Bolton have part of the lower aswell as the upper but have only sold around 3,500 so far with tickets available to both sets of supporters on the day. Attendance should be around 28k with walk-on's. ive just rang up the ticket office to get tickets for friends and was told rovers fans have all of the bottom tier of darwen end and have sold it out. The lady I spoke to may well be mistaken though, given your info. Be great if we could sell out today and show the biggest town in England, double the size of blackburn, what a crowd looks like!
cruz Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Surely the ticket office lady should know.............but given my dealings with the incompetence of the ticket office it's hardly surprising they don't know how many tickets have been sold

my_name_is_Earl Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I love the positivity on here regarding this game, it's good to see the fans pulling together and really making sure that at least we're doing everything we can as fans to help the team. Regardless of what happens come the end of the season, all our fans deserve to be congratulated for the amount of energy and enthusiasm that we've invested into the club in what has proved to be a very difficult time to bite our tongue's. Somehow, through all the mess this season, the fans have still come through shining and mostly united, which is something you can't say for many clubs throughout this land, even those teams who are in a much more comfortable position than ours. It's also great to see that the fans are getting behind the team for today and snapping up spare tickets even if they are only cheap. We need those extra fans and let's hope they can make a difference today. I urge anyone with a few quid to spare to also get a ticket for the Hammers away next week. That game is crucial to how our season pans out, more so than this one and you get the feeling that every extra fan could make a massive difference. Wouldn't it be great to secure survival against the Hammers with them going down?! As for today, i'm going for a draw, i'm hopeful that we can scrape together enough points to stay up, but this is a tough game today and just because it looks like our 'easist' fixture from our last remaining games to play, Bolton will love nothing more than to put a dent in our survival plans. An early goal will be crucial and could see us win the game but it's going to be tough. Leave nothing at home, folks!
Presty On Tour Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I just had a nightmare that Junior was stabbed by Balotelli on the train. Anyway, huge game for us today and I'm nervous as anything. Taking the whole family today and with the weather looking decent we may get the last minute rush. I think a win today will go a long long way to securing our Premier League status. Come on Rovers!! OsloRover Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Last time we beat W@nky Wanderers nice rick roll, totally fell for that one
rovgers Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 We never beat West Ham at West Ham and looking at recent history we always put in a pathetic performance on the final day of the season, if that's the case again then Wolves should win that one. Rovers have to beat Bolton IMO. I don't want to nit pick but didn't we beat Villa in the final game last year? I might be wrong but in the last 6 seasons we've only lost once(against Brum) in the final game. Saying that I wouldn't like to have to go there needing to win.
Stuart Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Starting to get really nervous now. Maybe this is what Venkys meant by bringing exciting football to Blackburn.
