AllRoverAsia Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 November 2011 fixtures: Sat 5 15:00 H Chelsea PREM Sat 19 15:00 A Wigan Athletic PREM Sat 26 12:45 A Stoke City PREM Tue 29 19:45 A Cardiff City LGCP November must be stick or twist (as in chicken neck) time for Kean Could get something from every game but could also end the month with no wins or points at all. If results go against us v Chelsea (expected) AND Wigan then he should be gone then and would IMO be at any other Club. If he's still around come the end of November then its my guess he's here for the rest of the Season.

brian_gallagher85 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I'm willing to stick my neck on the line now and say we will get a point away to Wigan in the league from those games and sneak into the semis allowing Venkys a reason to keep Kean.
sijoco Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Here's another one to stick in the Steve Kean book of complete tosh “We know we have to see the games out better and we’ve been working hard on that in training this week." LET Link SK - "Right lads lets pretend theres only 5 minutes left, everyone over to the corner flag. Well done boys, now, who's coming to mine to watch Glee?"
Seggie Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I also dont understand Kean`s insistance and using all 3 subs during a game (even when winning and under no pressure). The only times he hasn`t have been: 26/12/10 Home 0-2 Stoke (1 Sub) 02/04/11 Away 0-0 Arsenal (2 Subs) 22/05/11 Away 2-3 Wolves (2 Subs) 20/08/11 Away 3-1 A. Villa (2 Subs) 01/10/11 Home 0-4 Man City (1 Sub) 15/10/11 Away 1-1 QPR (1 Sub) Did he not make only 1 sub in the Villa pre season game, which points to poor pre season prep which is why the team looks so unfit
tomphil Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I heard from two different people that there was a "KEAN IN" banner at Bumley's last home game. Anyone know if it was true? Has to be the most damning evidence of his ineptitude! Yes at the front of Bob Lord stand and visable on tv.
Gav Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Yes at the front of Bob Lord stand and visable on tv. The banner will have witnessed Blackburns very own Paul Gallagher ripping them apart then won't it
booth Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Yes at the front of Bob Lord stand and visable on tv. Would be fantastic if at some point Kean becomes the Burnley manager. We can remind them of their banner error!
tomphil Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 The banner will have witnessed Blackburns very own Paul Gallagher ripping them apart then won't it Correct and by all accounts they were not too happy ha ha !
krypton1980 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Did he not make only 1 sub in the Villa pre season game, which points to poor pre season prep which is why the team looks so unfit Just double checked but he did make 2 subs in that game (match report). Although I think you have hit the nail on the head with poor pre season prep & an unfit team. I have been told in the past that one of the first things kean did when he took over is reduce the amount of actual physical training by the players, and stopped fining playeres for being late to practice (could be why they all like him so much). This info was only hearsay so I cant back it up with any evidence but if true explains alot.

"We've got a good group of players and they can put these type of things to the back of their minds," said Kean of recent protests by fans. "They're professional players and the directors have taken a stance. That's great because we believe it's the majority of fans we should hear, and the majority of the fans are supporting the side and myself - so the minority, the fact that they can't bring any banners in is great. "It's been rumbling on for a few games so I'm letting everyone at the stadium, the directors and people behind the scenes, deal with that. "We're focusing on performances. All that stuff we've put out of our minds to be honest."

Mattyblue Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 The bloke just beggars belief, he really does. At what point does he feel the 'majority' would actually lose support in him? After relegation? After a double relegation? Jesus wept.
den Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 The bloke just wants to split the fanbase. He'll bring the club to it's knees if he's allowed to ride roughshod over anyone who opposes what he's doing. Despicable human being.
T4E Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 When there's 20000 people in the stadium and only 700 join the protest march, what is he supposed to think?
Gav Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 When there's 20000 people in the stadium and only 700 join the protest march, what is he supposed to think? It's a very good point and let's also point out a few regular posters on protest threads are also nowhere to be seen either......
LeChuck Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 "the majority of the fans are supporting the side and myself" "I think we'll go into this game full of confidence after what we think should have been back-to-back wins." "We've only lost one in four and we've scored eight goals in the last three games. We now need to continue and get that clean sheet." Wow. It feels like he's twisting every event possible purely for the ears of Desai.
Rovers_786 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Beleaguered Blackburn boss Steve Kean insists fan protests will take a back seat as his side prepare to face a wounded Chelsea on Saturday. Kean has backed the club's decision to prohibit defamatory banners from Ewood Park believing the minority are being ignored as the team look to rescue their Premier League season. A 4-3 win over Newcastle in the Carling Cup last week gave them a much-needed boost before being denied victory over Norwich after conceding a late penalty in a 3-3 draw. The manager insists the team have not been distracted by calls for his dismissal despite Rovers claiming just six points from their opening 10 games, which finds them in 18th place. Rumbling "We've got a good group of players and they can put these type of things to the back of their minds," Kean said. "They're professional players and the directors have taken a stance. "That's great because we believe it's the majority of fans we should hear, and the majority of fans are supporting the side and myself - so the minority, the fact that they can't bring any banners is great. "It's been rumbling on for a few games so I'm letting everyone at the stadium, the directors and people behind the scenes, deal with that. "We're focusing on performances. All that stuff we've put out of our minds to be honest." Kean is braced to face an under pressure Chelsea side who followed up a 5-3 home defeat by Arsenal by drawing 1-1 with Genk in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. "You've always got to be wary of a backlash," added Kean. "We'll just be worried about what we do as a side and how we impose ourselves on top of Chelsea. "I think we'll go into this game full of confidence after what we think should have been back-to-back wins. "We've only lost one in four and we've scored eight goals in the last three games. We now need to continue and get that clean sheet. "I don't think they will look forward to coming to Ewood because we're playing well and I think it will be a very tough game for them."
martonrover Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 When there's 20000 people in the stadium and only 700 join the protest march, what is he supposed to think? The thing is that whilst many would never actively join the protests they will sympathise and agree with them. Kean's point that everyone not actively protesting support him is utter garbage. It would be interesting to poll people on their way into the stadium as that would prove the majority want him gone.

Tris Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 When there's 20000 people in the stadium and only 700 join the protest march, what is he supposed to think? There's another thing which is baffling me, and that's the vote on this thread. From 6,905 registered members on this website only 579 have cast votes either way. Does the 91.6% abstention rate in fact mirror the apathy out there in the real world??
tomphil Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 When there's 20000 people in the stadium and only 700 join the protest march, what is he supposed to think? There was more than 700 howling at him in the latter stages of the City match and if things go badly wrong on sat, an i hope they dont, there will be half a stadium at him again you can bet on that.
