Reedy You're A Star Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 *DISCLAIMER: This story is less believeable than Steve Kean's claim that Blackburn will be in the Champions League "in the next three of four seasons".

rebelmswar Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I can't take it, it's awful. Fans are divided/ apathetic. Manager incapable. Owners ... well I can't even find the words for them. They make the keystone kops look like a crack outfit. Agents allegedly with their snouts in the trough. Organised dissent crushed. Results are appalling. The steady hands and wise heads have been pushed out. All within 12 months. If you sat down 12 months ago and tried to come up with a nightmare scenario for the club, you couldn't have done better. It makes me very sad indeed and where we go from here I really do not know. It's knocked the stuffing out of me. I've really toned down my drinking in the last few years, but I can see myself absolutely paralytic on double brandies come 5 pm two Saturdays hence. All very true Bryan, but I have now joined Generation Apathy.

Amo Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Like BPF said in another thread, I don't like anything about this club anymore. There's nothing anyone can relate to. The owners are a world away and seemingly don't care what happens here. The manager's a lying scumbag who hates his own fans and will see us doomed if it prolongs his miserable excuse for a career. There's no one the fans can turn to in such dire times. I never thought anybody could rip the heart out of a club in just twelve months, but Venky's, I doth my cap to thee...
Emge Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 One day in the distant future, when all these nightmares are over - someone should make a movie out of it - or at least write a book. If we hadnt been right in the middle of it now it would be quite entertaining to read/watch a movie about all the shocking unprofessional things going on. If it had been Burnley - O'boy how funny it would have been...

Completely agree - the Rao family should ashamed, pity they don't give one though.
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I've been reading some of the posts tonight on the forum in various different threads and it's clear for the good of the club he has to go. You have fans bickering and arguing with each other and the general atmosphere around the club just feels so toxic right now. Even if by some miracle Kean manages to turn it around I can't see the animosity going away, it's just gone too far. Also Kean by the looks of it every week deliberately sets out to antagonise and provoke the fans. Rovers suddenly get a win or two and we will never hear the end of it, he's that type of personality. This will be my last post on the issue of the manager until he is gone, I'm sick and tired of flogging a dead horse. I'm done, it's not worth stressing out any more over it.

I've been following football for more than half a century and I've never come across anyone like Steve Kean. Any other manager at any level of the game with his dismal win / loss record would have resigned out of shame by now but the Kean has no shame, only a defiant belief that he is always right and everyone else is wrong. He would probably say that we are lucky to have him as our manager. Steve Kean is unique.
Sparky Marky Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 At least maclaren resigned and he's a right dick.

Let's hope he's a eunuch so he doesn't breed and further contaminate the gene pool with his delusions of football grandeur.

His sperm would probably watch videos for two weeks, travel to each ovary for a chat with the eggs, joyride down the tubes, ###### off all the supporting cells, bottle it and die praying for a draw.
FourLaneBlue Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Steve Kean is unique. He's certainly a special one is wor' Steve. Not quite in the same sense as Jose Mourinho, alas.

This sounds very worrying to me. "Kean", "plan" and "agent" in the same sentence just isn't good news.
walk down bolton road Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 That is part of the problem, Kean has it all his own way at Rovers – can do as he wants and little accountability. This is why Venkys got shut of all the decent people at the club and got in co co ,agnew and other bootlickers and what utter chaos they are creating.

Don't we have a Sports Director to handle player acquisitions? Surely its Kean's job to give the SD a list and the SD does all the negotations. Since when has Kean been qualified to do such things? Surely the Raos will not let Kean loose with spending the cash. It gets worse every single bloody day I hope its just slippery Nixon slanting the article to 'big up' his pal Kean and iritate the fans.

Who in God's name will sign for us anyway? Staggering that a steady trickle continue to vote ' give him more time'. I just wish something would happen to change things but a slow, painful death looks inevitable.
John Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Last night, Riberio looked better than Denis Irwin ever did I thought? Ball sticks to his feet like glue….
jim mk2 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Is Kean statistically (win / loss ratio etc) the worst manager since the formation of the Premier League ? is he also statistically the worst manager in Rovers history ? Does anyone have access to the information ?

Does anyone have access to the information ? I do believe he is one loss away from that honor, if not I think he may have attained it with the last draw. Jistey posted that stat last week but I can't find it.

Does anyone have access to the information ? He might now be worse than Jim Iley statistically as the Rovers' worst ever. Kean isn't worse than Paul Jewel's stint at Derby but his record must be easily in the bottom ten managers in the all time Premier League and very probaly has the worst record of any manager to have had 30 games in the PL.
