[Archived] Rovers v Millwall: Ewood Park - December 14th, KO - 3pm

See this DJ stuff even has you questioning that now. I mean it was without question the most retarded game plan I've ever seen a manager deploy. Did he have a tenner on a millwall win??

More likely a tenner on Danny Shittu breaking the world record for most headers in 90 minutes of play. It was absolutely incredible. I blame Dann and Hanley in part too. Surely they wouldn't have got a bollocking for playing a pass to feet once or twice. Confidence must have been in shreds at the time!

And he didn't change tactics throughout the whole game, we just kept lumping it into Shittu. It was very odd.

Personally, I thought Millwall were the best team that came to Ewood last year (in the league).

The 0-2 defeat hardly told the story, they were brilliant with the ball, worked tirelessly of it and scored 4 or 5 that day IIRC, 2/3 being ruled off for offside.

That said, a year is a long time in football, particularly at this level.

Rovers 0-2 Millwall - 24/11/12

Rovers - Managed by Berg

Robinson, Henley, Dann, Hanley, Mn Olsson, Formica (Gomes), Murphy (Vukcevic), Etuhu, Ms Olsson (King), Rochina, Rhodes

Millwall - Managed by Jackett

Forde, Shittu, Lowry, Beevers, Smith, Wright, Henry, Abdou, C Taylor (Malone), Keogh, Wood

Bold - Started/Sub appearance last Saturday.

Bowyer HAS to drop one of Lowe or Williamson for me, we need to win this, we need to attack more, I'd then like to see Rochina, Dunn or King come in, Taylor must start and I think he could be the key, Marshall apparently did well v QPR and Cairney must play in central midfield.

I would be tempted to go with Rochina for something a bit different, and would drop Lowe as I prefer Williamson. Henley must start too.

Eastwood

Henley Dann Hanley Spurr

Williamson Cairney

Marshall Rochina Taylor

Rhodes

Subs: Dunn, King, Best, Kean, Judge, Kilgallon, Lowe.

Well it's likely to be an even smaller crowd, dark, freezing and probably wet with an atmosphere to match but quite amazingly i'm looking forward to it for some reason. Can't blame it on xmas spirit because i hate it so it must be the thought of post match drinks, the first in ages. However i'll not predict a win as it always goes pear shaped when i do. So to compound the miserable scenario i've described i'll go for 0-0 seeing as we are working on being clean sheet specialists first and foremost at the min.

0-0 12,230 (400 bushwakers)

Nice try but it won't happen. 'Lowey' is the first name on the teamsheet under Bowyer. I agree that one of them needs to make way for Cairney but unless the manager's forced to make a change, I can't see them budging.

I'd play Dunn ahead of Rochina, with Ruben to replace him after the hour mark, depending on how the game's going.

The saddest part of A Christmas Carol, is the bit at the end, where Scrooge sells out! I bet you miss the old Riverside by the drip.I'll buy you a pint...

I would go with this line-up :-

Eastwood

Henley Dann Hanley Spurr

Lowe Cairney

King Taylor Marshall

Rhodes

Although I expect to see Williams on the team sheet.

I would certainly hope to see Williamson on the team sheet after his superb performance at Loftus Road last week.

Williamson next to Lowe and Cairney on the right for me.

Well not for me but I'm guessing that's what the uber defensive Bowyer will do....at home....against Millwall :/

Apparently Williamson had a great game at QPR so should start, let's hope Lowe picks up a niggle and can't,

we need a positive home performance with Cairney in the centre.
