Certainly expected Utd v Southampton (obviously after the 5-4 game) to be featured sooner on MOTD. That it wasn't shows how unsurprising it is for them to lose at home these days.

Well either that or the game was so devoid of action they could barely come up with a highlight package lol.

I hate Tottenham but hats off to Dele Alli, the goal at Palace was absolute class.

Wonderful goal that was. I like watching Tottenham play a lot at the minute if I'm honest. A good solid English core, with lots of foreign flair and good movement. Quietly going about their business under the radar. They're having a very good season.

Once upon a time play continued till Utd equalised (with a penalty).

Don't think they would have scored if they played for another 90 minutes. They only had one shot on target the entire match!

For 2 decades, any Man. Utd defeat at home was a bit of a shock, even if it was by one of their title rivals. A generation of ManU fans have grown up thinking they were invincible and that's how it always was.

It's great to now watch them whine and cry as nearly every bog-standard Premier League team turns up at the theatre of dreams and takes some points away.

Well the so called big Clubs are doing their best to hand Leicester the title. Of course idiots in the media like Collymore and footballing snobs are already starting to say that it will devalue the Premiership brand if Leicester were to win it whereas in reality if they win it they will fully deserve it because they've been the best side over 38 games. It will also be the best story in Premier League history since we won it but no doubt in 20 years time it'd be another year Sky would rather expunge from the record books.

They're missing the point completely, the Premier League is the best League in the world not for the reason they think that the money and Champions League money allows all the best players to gravitate towards the top 3 or 4 Clubs, but that the money ensures that on any given afternoon a "big" Club will face a stiff task against a team near the bottom and may get turned over if not on their game and not just face a 4 or 5 nil walk over like in La Liga for example. On a really good year like 1995 or 2016, a team like Leicester or Blackburn might even do something really special which would never happen abroad.

Its not remotely comparable to Rovers really. Leicester winning this title would probably be the biggest shock ever. Obviously Rovers were not the most talented champions of the Premier League era. They were certainly better than Leeds in the final old Division one season. A case could probably be made up against United's first 2 premier league winning teams as well. With people like Shearer in the team however it certainly wasn't shocking especially having finished 2nd the year before. How on earth Leicester are in top spot at this stage with the likes of Simpson in their team defies belief. It would be ironic if Ranieri won it because he failed at every club he was appointed to win league championships. Can't see them finishing 1st its about as unrealistic as Chelsea being relegated. It also shows that not all foreign owners are awful but there's lucky ones and unlucky ones. Unfortunately Rovers were one of the unlucky ones.

Can certainly see them finishing top 4 but no more than that.

You make a fair point, but without wanting to get into a detailed argument about whether we "bought" the League considering where we came from we had to spend big to attract the right sort of player and put us on an even keel with the other top Clubs at the time. Irrespective of that I still think it was a remarkable achievement to go from midway down the old second division to Premier League champions in 3 and a half seasons.

But yes you're right, Leicester are doing it without the relative spending power we had at the time. All power to them.
