It's been a bit of a hammer blow to my weekends to be honest. Used to go with a big group and we made a day of it. By the time I started boycotting I was pretty much the last man standing so it was a gradual loss of the whole experience for me over a few years.

I'm gutted about it to be honest. Had a ST from a young age, lived in a few different places around the country and wore my Rovers stuff everywhere. In the pre-Venky days I wasn't just immensely proud of the club, I was immensely proud of the town and the surrounding area. The scale of Venkys' crime is collosal and the the most heinous thing about it is they've subjected us to such experiences that by the time I stopped going, I was almost relieved.

Kate Hollern recently included it in her letter to the club (wonder if she got a reply?).

It's not just about a football club - although that's important enough - it's about the impact on the town and its occupants. We used to be able to have pride in our team and it put us on the map. When you spoke to people abroad you could talk about being from Blackburn rather than "near Manchester".

Yet nobody at the club will admit the damage that has been done. They are in complete denial, and it's business as usual. I do feel sorry for many of the club's employees - particularly those at the forefront like Neil Yardley. He looked really embarrassed preparing for his pre-match camera/big screen piece on Tuesday.

These are the people who stand to lose the most when Venkys do drop us.

Also sounded like Gerald was really really depressed at half time on Tuesday. These people are so passionate about the club that it is intrinsic to their personal earnings.

It's such a travesty that Venkys are so reckless with their futures.

Ha Gerald, another top man. I remember the Big Sam days where the DE corner would sing for him to give us a wave after he praised us every game. And he'd always excitedly welcome that American guy Jim on every phone in (who really knew his stuff).

It's all these people that are the reason IMO why so many past Rovers players, whether big shots or not, praised Rovers staff and the club set up. Said before Venkys have really taken us from one extreme to the other.

Broke my boycott and went on the Blackburn End today with a loaned season ticket. I found joining in volubly with the periodic 'Venkys Out' and 'Uncle Jacks Blue n White Army' chants quite therapeutic.

I'd predicted a late Fulham winner (if not nil nil ) beforehand so was not surprised at the result.

I previously thought most Rovers fans still attending the stadium were either ignorant or in denial of the Venkys regime and BRFC's pervasive corruption but not now. No doubt some 'unhappy clappers' are like those who ignore odd symptoms, continue risky behaviours and put off organising that vital check up but there is a general feeling that the day of reckoning is fast approaching.

Bring it on.

Tomorrow will be another match day where any thoughts of "going down" will be ignored for the greater good.

I trust everyone in this thread has sent Madon a 2 second video..."I am boycotting"

4 months later it still hurts and is a sickly feeling every time we play The worst feeling was being outside the ground against wolves and not going in . I've turned down corperate for both Newcastle & nobbers games as it's no more until they go.

My money for the season ticket is there burning a hole in my pocket as well .

I know what you mean. I want to be able to go to Rovers on a Saturday and even more so on a midweek, cold, dark night where nothing seems to exist outside the football on the pitch and enjoy my football. I envy those who were at St James last week. My son lives in Newcastle and we could have made a weekend of it. But I can't bring myself to give in now. It hurts that I don't go and I'm not sure it will actually do any good, but it's the stand I've taken so no compromise

I completely agree. My resolve is as strong now as it was in the Summer and it would be even if we were top of the league. I miss travelling to away games with friends and meeting like minded people at Rovers games all over the county. But my principles will not allow me to waver until the wretched Indians are confined to the history books.

I understand boycotting home matches Gumboots but away matches don't give the owners any revenue so if it hurts so much why not take in a few away matches? I fully understand your stand but I can't see why the odd away match would compromise it.

The club do get a percentage of ticket money of sales for away games but I don't know what it is.

I had a problem with my all singng and dancing remote control gas fire earlier so I had to contact the makers " Legend " . It turns out they're based in Blackburn and they put me on to a service engineer that specialises in these fires.

Two guys turned up, both ex - Rovers fans that used to go regularly. They said they've got out of the habit completely, don't take any interest in the club, don't look for the scores on Saturday anymore etc.

When I asked them what would entice them to come back to Ewood in the future they both said the same thing - " Nothing ". That's them finished with Rovers and football.

I suspect a good half of the fans we've lost will never set foot in Ewood again.

Crap fires by the way, worst thing I've ever bought. One time I went to turn it off to go to bed and the bloody thing wouldn't turn off !

The batteries in the actual fire had run down, remote was ok. After about 3/4 of an hour of trying it went off. I need to get rid of it really but it was bloody expensive.
