AggyBlue Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Derby(A) Draw 2-2 - Points - 1 Sheff W (H) Win 2-1 - Points - 3 Birmingham(A) Draw 1-1 - Points - 1 Ipswich (H) Win 3-1 - Points - 3 N.Forest (H) Win 3-2 - Points - 3 Points Haul - 11 Fortress Ewood returns! We concede at least 1 goal every game! but we do have the strikers who can score! Apart from 3 or 4 good teams the Championship is not at its best so whilst perhaps optimistic the above is doable against the opposition we have. OH.............and we'll be pushing for the Playoffs I'm off to see my shrink, nice man, makes me lie on a couch and talk OH.............and we'll be pushing for the Playoffs Don't. You'll have some on here committing Hari Kari

blue kiwi Posted September 18, 2016 Author Posted September 18, 2016 QPR AWAY LEEDS AWAY ROTHERHAM HOME DERBY AWAY SHEFF WED HOME I honestly think 7pts are needed, expect 3pts.your thoughts folks well we have beat my total with 2 games to go,can we get the 3pts needed out of the next 2 games
AllRoverAsia Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 well we have beat my total with 2 games to go,can we get the 3pts needed out of the next 2 games According to my Blue tinted spectales we will and with some ease. I had a bad day yesterday and knew that today would be even worse, and it is! Rovers win yesterday was an unexpected ray of Sunshine - I decided to bask in it even to the detriment of commonsense
philipl Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 38 games to get 46 points for safety. Par for the course from the next 5 games then is nearly 7 points.... Just cannot see us stopping leaking at the back so my hunch is 3 or 4 points. Incidentally, both the other two clubs in the bottom three have beaten us so far this season. In fact if you look at the league positions of the teams we have played, we had an absolute softest of soft set of fixtures to open this season. If we had an ordinary mid-table side Rovers would have been top now.
Gav Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 We won't make serious progress on the pitch until Coyle sorts out the defence. This was always his Achilles heel and I seriously doubt his ability to do it. Hasn't with any of his other clubs. Interesting to note that Brighton haven't conceded a league goal since Duffy joined them.
47er Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Interesting to note that Brighton haven't conceded a league goal since Duffy joined them. Is that right? Didn't think he was that good!
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted September 18, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted September 18, 2016 Nah, Gav, that's not right. They lost their first two games 2-0 that he played in. (Newcastle and Brentford). The loss at Newcastle was the day after he signed..... Fair enough, they've won their last 2, 1-0.
eddy11d Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Interesting to note that Brighton haven't conceded a league goal since Duffy joined them. You're spot on if you forget the two against Brentford and two against Newcastle.
Gav Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Shouldn't believe everything i read, you're right K-Hod, not conceded in last 2 games. Heard last week his contract had certain stipulations if he signed again, the club wouldn't honor those so he left. But he's gone now and our defense is an absolute shambles, even worse than when Duffy was banging them in his own net.
Husky Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 I only just realised the original 5 games of this thread haven't yet been completed I guess the season is already becoming a drag when that happens.

Wasn't Duffy at fault for the 2 Newcastle goals or am I as bad a reader as Gav?!!
AllRoverAsia Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 I only just realised the original 5 games of this thread haven't yet been completed I guess the season is already becoming a drag when that happens. I thought it was a good idea to restart straight after a win as may not have the chance to do that too often this season........despite my earlier posts.......................im back reverse gear :(
tomphil Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Nah, Gav, that's not right. They lost their first two games 2-0 that he played in. (Newcastle and Brentford). The loss at Newcastle was the day after he signed..... Fair enough, they've won their last 2, 1-0. He was getting a fair bit of stick on twitter from some Seagulls fans recently so not sure he's gone down a storm there yet. Nowhere near the class of Scott Dann and never will be imo. I hate Dann with a passion as well for the pish he took whilst here when he clearly could've done a lot better. Wonder if they use the same agents etc ?

Paul Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 we have the 7pts i thought we needed, can we get something against sheff wed? Well I'll be walking down Livesey Branch Road expecting we can win, which will be the first time this season. Why? Nothing more than a couple of wins always puts a spring in the step and the last couple of games have shown some improvements.

blue kiwi Posted September 30, 2016 Author Posted September 30, 2016 well rovers met the expected point tally i set,7pts out of the last 5 games. next 5 games birmingham a ipswich h forest h bristol city a wolves h i reckon we can get 6pts out of these games,8 needed though.
rigger Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 I reckon we will win three on the bounce, against Ipswich, Forest, and Bristol, to try and dampen down protests at the Wolves game. Thus nine points.
Husky Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 birmingham a LOSE ipswich h DRAW forest h DRAW bristol city a DRAW wolves h DRAW Not bad - A four game unbeaten streak.
blue kiwi Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 out of this batch of 5 games we have 4pts after 3 games, can we get 4pts from the next 2 games to meet my target.
tomphil Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 That batch of games will probably end up averaging a point a game after a loss to Bristol and a draw home to Wolves. Highly likely to be repeated throughout the season and may not be good enough come May.
