It’s the helplessness of it.

Yesterday my Facebook memories flashed up with the stream of consciousness I was spouting on that day in 2009. We’d just beat that lot again down the M65 (the last season in which we would) and the passion was flying out of me.

Now? On Saturday, a 3pm game not too far away I would’ve gone without question a few years back, but I didn’t even think about it, indeed I just glanced at the score at half time/full time, sighed and went on with my day - anyone that knows me and my lifelong passion for all thinks Blackburn Rovers wouldn’t recognise me.

’Yeah, yeah it’s because you’re shit so you can’t be arsed’. No, not the case. I was burning with anger, protesting, paying my fees to WATR for years when we were also shit but you hoped we could push them towards the door, if not at least push them into a change of course. Sheff Wed are shit too, but their fans know they are at near end game, hope.

Here? What’s the point? The ‘club’ has no interest in achieving anything on the pitch, yet the owners have no interest in selling to anybody that would try to. Protests don’t work, ten thousand people walking away doesn’t work. So, you just quietly quit and move on with your life, without even noticing.

When fans like you Matty feel this way it’s pretty grim. Decent owners really would care but ours won’t.

Hiding what? What your thoughts to what you think they are hiding?

My view is that this goes right back to the very beginning, when Anderson, Kean, Kentaro et al we’re all involved.

The funds used to buy the club, seem to have been layered, which suggests to me that money laundering took place.

On the money laundering theme, that has come up again fairly recently with suspicions of this going on with some of the funds moved around in India and some transferred over to the UK.

Add in the dubious agents, the Global 11 fund, the Italian Aristocrat and Pasha being linked to Kentaro and in it from the very beginning and Thats all far to convenient to be pure coincidence.

We even have recent Tweets from Craig Honeyman, who also seems to be connected to these people, yet again defending the club and having a go at supporters.

Add Gestedes links to Kean and it just seems to be a never ending set of connections.

All my opinion of course, for what it’s worth.

That is the sad reality of most of us unfortunately.

We'll always love the club but in terms of actually enjoying football again it's a while off.

Like many said before League 1/2 new owners happy days.

Sky Sports News - Complicit in our downfall. The whole football world poured their unethical , toxic, dark soul into our club like parasites they are. Which IMO is why selling up won't happen.

There's only 1 way and i've always suggested ... Buying advertising space in major indian newspaper and put ads ... hope some opposition news outlet picks it up ....no amount of protest in ewood gonna reach india and uk outlets are happy with our plight from 2012

How I supported Rovers pre-Venky's feels so different to post-Venky's that it's like it happened in another lifetime. Blackburn Rovers as I knew it effectively died the day they took over, and what's been stumbling around since then I can only recognise as a zombie that vaguely resembles what came before but is completely dead inside.

Other fans will occasionally hop on here to lecture us on protesting, sticking by the club, and so on, but none of them have the right as no other club has experienced such a prolonged demise with no end in sight. We are the footballing example of death by a thousand cuts.

They can’t relate as this isn’t normal.

Usually owners just give up the ghost either of their own volition or they are forced to through administration etc.

Here it’s been going on so long, the decline akin to a slow puncture as the lights are always on, not a Sheff Wed-esque car crash, it’s become normalised and turned perceptions on their head - ‘just how it is there, they have crap support, their owners keep it afloat’.

I believe this was investigated (by the Trust? 🤔) but the Indian press wouldn’t carry the ads for commercial reasons…

There may be a way to get some sort of content in an Indian newspaper but I know of 2 or 3 attempts that have been unsuccessful - The Times of India was contacted but wouldn't even consider it.

I should think the problem with getting the newspapers to run stories is, who is asking the questions. Give any relevant information to the people who have taken the Venkys to court and see if they can use it.
