No signings today then is that what Sharpe meant when he said 2 before deadline?

No he didn't say anything in regard to a signing happening today or not he just said he could see two coming in before Friday

Having seen the compilation of Brereton, the way he runs reminds me a lot of Garry Birtles. Just hope he has a better scoring record for us than Birtles did at Man Ure. ?

He reminded me of Shefki Kuqi mixed with Kalanic...slightly worrying ?

Jesus, someone is getting paid to write that too. Rovers interested in Chapman, other breaking news as it happens, water is wet.

Not strange really! If you go to B&Q for a tap washer it’s pretty straightforward but go for a complete kitchen and it gets more complicated

Are we saying that Brereton is the complete kitchen?

They are saying on loan which would be pointless for Boro.

Harry Chapman is out of contract in the summer, so I can only imagine they have the option of him signing a new one and then loaning him out or finding a club now that will agree a loan with obligation to buy.

TM has said it's a partial tear of his cruciate ligameng, reading between the lines and looking at how he hobbled off midweek I'm saying it's his ACL. I've done mine twice and he looked like a man who knew he'd done his too.

So much for all that pre-season high intensity training! :(

Do you know what a proper centre forward/striker is, ie a player who can play with his back to goal and hold up the forward line ?

We only have one - Danny Graham

If you lose that one, you adapt your tactics to suit the resources that you do have, (the managers job).

I said the same last week, loaning Chapman out seems odd unless they've got an option or are confident of getting a development fee that would match their valuation of him, seems a risky game to play.

If that did finally happen, I would be happy. I love how the squad is taking shape with young and skilled talent who seem to want to be here.  We just need to ship out the likes of Whittingham and Caddis by the end of the week, not that they are bad guys, just that they aren't good enough.

Good news is good news even if its in the Daily Mail!

Loan with no option to buy, is that what the rag is saying?

He is out of contract at the end of the season don't really need an option to buy it the player decides he wants to be here

I suppose from Boro's perspective (if there's anything in the Fail's yarn) then they would reduce their wage bill a bit by letting Chapman go on loan. From our perspective we would be  well on our way to becoming Blackburn's biggest employer.

It has to be a loan?

Of course, I meant it not being a loan with an obligation to buy which considering he would be out of the contract come the end of it, we could just get him for whatever the tribunal decides instead of a fee now (January) with Boro.

Me too. A centre-back as well and it will have been a terrific window (but late!)

The Guardian has a hit rate of 44 per cent, so close to 1 in 2 of their Rovers related transfer stories turn out to be correct.

Considering the amount of speculative nonsense that appears on here you'd learn more by leaving this website and reading the Guardian's

To be honest, the national newspapers barely ever feature Rovers news normally.
