Who'd be surprised at that and of course it will leave him in limbo for a while at least. I don't think this matters. He can sign for whoever he wants and Rovers can't do a thing about it, the fee will just be settled by tribunal, probably in a few years with how slow they go. Quote

philipl Posted Friday at 19:34 Posted Friday at 19:34 Espanyol pay the lowest wages in La Liga but their highest paid players are above our 10k maximum: Player Weekly Wage Annual Salary Contract Until Edu Expósito €23,080 €1,200,000 2027 Leandro Cabrera €20,000 €1,040,000 2026 Javi Puado €18,080 €940,000 2030 Carlos Romero €18,080 €940,000 2026 Jofre Carreras €13,850 €720,000 2029 Álvaro Tejero €11,920 €620,000 2026 Pol Lozano €11,920 €620,000 2027 I would imagine Dolan has more than doubled his expired Rovers contract but odds on a significant chunk of the 1m difference between compensation Espanyol will have to pay Rovers and the compensation an English club would have paid has landed as an (untaxed?) signing on bonus for Ty and his agent... 1 Quote

I don't think we get any compensation as he has signed for a club outside England? Or am I wrong on that? Quote

I think I’ve worked out where he’s got the figure from… 90,000 euros (not pounds) per year is the figure set by UEFA* The per year is not the length of contract at the new club it’s the time spent at the former club between the ages of 12 and 21. The above isn’t payable for Dolan as he is too old (turned 23 four days too soon) under the relevant FIFA regulation. *This is for clubs deemed by UEFA to be ‘category 1’ - lower category = lower compensation. edited to add link (first table in document): https://digitalhub.fifa.com/m/4c9ae72afc774ad8/original/Circular-1936_RSTP-categorisation-of-clubs-and-registration-periods_EN.pdf Edited 10 hours ago by wilsdenrover 2 Quote
TugaysMarlboro Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Maybe we were hedging his potential compensation figure for his replacement and now that's not come about, we're snookered. Quote
