Andrews showing why they appointed and proving his doubters wrong.

Welbeck's free kick was great. He should be in the England squad for me

I'd just hold up on that front, not saying he'll fail, or that he is doing a bad job BUT he's only been in charge for 11 games and he's got a long way to go before he can be considered any good.

We've seen it enough times where someone has started well and then struggled.

He has started well there and that's what I commented on.

Overall he might not prove a success but he made a good overall start..

I thought Wolves were atrocious and that lot weren't much better.

Bizarrely Wolves gave Vitor Pereira a new three year deal in September. That will come back and bite them hard I reckon

Wolves fans not happy at full time and let Vitor Pereira know this

What will Wolves owners do about Vitor Pereira if this form continue. big decision coming there, stick or twist?

I'd agree with this - after 11 games, they will still be playing to Frank's style and method.
He'd been there long enough that his methods would have been woven into the club's DNA.

Once Andrews' own style is imposed, then it'll be fair to judge him.

However, on results only, he's certainly made a good start to the season.

Today's question of the day.

How is it you win the Premier League last season at a canter, spend £400m strengthening in the transfer window, and yet end up looking like even we'd beat them at the moment?

Crazy game

Due to buying players for the sake of it, rather than seemingly having a plan. Now they have lost their playing style identity from an organised high press to a bunch of individuals. Chelsea were like that 3 or 4 years ago when they hoovered up about 40 players but never seemed to have any actual plan. They didnt need Isaak after getting Ektike. Should have got a fast pressing winger to replace Diaz and another CB.

Maybe too much of overall in forward areas. Centre back not strengthen and not a big enough squad there

So Kyle Walker, 6 times PL winner, Champions League winner, FA Cup etc etc is finished and a bad signing whilst Granit Xhaka, who pretty much failed in the PL, makes a team 6/7 places better? It’s a funny old world but I’m not so sure but we will see. My main memory of him was calamitous mistakes a couple of times a game. That said they have made some good signings so we shall see.

I do think the promoted teams might have a better chance than recent seasons if Bournemouth and Brentford are as damaged as they appear but I still see us as clear favourites for the drop. It is becoming a real issue today that as a fan you regard promotion to the top flight with such ambiguity, wanting it but then dreading the coming season.

Little update with Sunderland sitting 4th in the League.

Xhaka and his midfield partner have run further than any other players:

And on an overall player ratings website he's in the Top 10 for the Premier League:

Kyle Walker is number 193 on that list.

P.S. Your Bournemouth prediction is looking a bit flimsy too. 😉

The mighty reds of Liverpool are in free fall.  How many millions have they spent?  Butnit is so easy to just buy the title init?  Well Rovers did.  Pillocks.

Liverpool will come good again, but they haven't got much time to do so with regards to the title race.

Personally, can't stand them.

Burnley

Liverpool

Celtic

All 3 are off the cunt scale when it comes to football clubs.

Wolves have sacked their manager 45 days after giving him a new three year deal. Surely the people who gave him the deal are culpable too.

They will need and Allardyce type appointment now but that type of manager are a bit thin on the ground.

Suppose it depends on if the terms of his new contract a couple of months ago meant that they could sack him for less than they originally could?

Unlikely, but possible

Think they lost almost every match after he was given his new contract.

Looking from the outside there are some similarities at Wolves to our own problems foreign owners selling their best players and replacing with unproven players and rinse and repeat.

Wolves are being linked with the re appointment of Gary O'Neil.

A manager who was doing an atrocious job that led to Pereira coming in and saving them. Would be a terrible appointment.

Just read this.

O'Neil, Edwards and Carrick all linked.

Madness to go back for O’Neil.
