A manager who was doing an atrocious job that led to Pereira coming in and saving them. Would be a terrible appointment. Then they can reappoint Pereira to save them again. Rinse and repeat, and keep that precious Premier Legaue money forever more. 2 Quote

I am one of few who think that Wolves should have kept O'Neil in the first place. Looking at where they are 12 months on from potting him seems like it was only putting off the inevitable. As has been pointed out selling the club's best players and replacing them with inferior replacements leads to trouble. 1 Quote

He was doing terrible when they left, everything had gone into chaos, discipline had totally gone and they appeared doomed. Pereira came in and did a great job rescuing them which made him a candidate for manager of the season. Wolves fans appear to be absolutely fuming about his potential reappointment. Quote

A pattern perhaps? Quote
roversfan99 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Jamie Carragher has said that it isnt a surprise that O'Neil is set to be appointed at Wolves because, and its typical pundit rubbish, he "knows the club." He does know the club, he got sacked a year ago because he was failing with it. Surely even an unknown is better than someone who they actively know has already failed with a lot of the same players! Im sure it helps that O'Neil was apparently on Monday Night Football 2 weeks ago. Quote

It's hardly a surprise Carragher will stick up for O Neill given the fact they have probably worked together as pundits. I dont think O Neil was as bad at Wolves as you are suggesting. Although I do have my doubts about whether reappointing him would actually work on the basis of the general rule "They say you should never go back" Quote

Pereira then got 33 from 22 games. How they can decide a year on that actually he is the man to take them forward is beyond me. 1 Quote

Must have been reading your comments! 🙂 Quote

Xhaka and his midfield partner have run further than any other players: And on an overall player ratings website he's in the Top 10 for the Premier League: Kyle Walker is number 193 on that list. P.S. Your Bournemouth prediction is looking a bit flimsy too. 😉 Xhaka just bagged the equaliser against Everton as well. 1 Quote

Studio before game was discussing whether he's the signing of the season so far. Certainly got to be in the conversation. Particularly if Sunderland go 2nd tonight, which looks possible. And considering the fee paid of less than £20 million compared to the astronomical fees for some other signings. Quote
