Spurs were terrible. didn't turn up. Frank got his team selection and tactics wrong today

Eze was fantastic and he should be the England squad for World Cup

I've been watching Palace more since AW joined and outside of him, Eze is my favourite prem player this season. Full of skill, strength and awareness.

Plus he's got a cool name and looks like the Predator. 😁

Anyone watching Chelsea v Arsenal?

Caiceido given an extremely harsh red by VAR imo. In real time was a fraction late with a studs down tackle and caught the Arsenal player on the top of the foot.

The ref (Anthony Taylor) gave a yellow onfield which was perfectly adequate imo but VAR as usual got involved un necessarily, and told him to go over to the monitor.

Of course it looked far worse in slow motion and Taylor upgraded to a red. When you compare that with the challenge on Baradji at Preston which caught him studs up half way up his calf/shin it's like watching 2 completely different sports.

var in this country has to many unqualified hands in the biscuit tin, just let the refs referee and use it for disputed penalties and/or goalline incidents,it`s used far to much for incidents referees should be deciding

Or that tackle from behind that’s  put Tronstad out of our next few games.  That wasn’t  even deemed a foul, never mind a card.

Its was a late and reckless tackle

It wasn't! He was going for the ball and his opponent got to it first. No card at all for me. Bloody cissies play-acting and rolling around on the ground when there's nowt wrong with them. These are the ones who should do 5 minutes in a sin bin.

And whilst I'm at it, when will a ref go over to the screen and come back and say," I was right in the first place" and stick to his original decision?

This is a very weird take when it was Caicedo doing the rolling around to deflect attention from his bad tackle. The Arsenal player was fortunate to avoid injury, it looked painful.

I meant in general with that remark; not specific.

Late and reckless. Always a red card. Never getting the ball in a month of Sundays

And off-sides, though even that's gone crazy---5 minutes to decide it was a hairs' breadth in it!.

It was a genuine attempt to block the ball and he was a split second late. Reckless would be going in studs up and catching him higher up on the leg.

The referee saw it in real time at normal speed and (correctly imo) awarded a yellow. It wasn't a "clear and obvious" error and VAR shouldn't have intervened.

They aren't supposed to be re-refereeing the game.

The Chelsea manager thinks the red card was the right decision.

The Italian agreed that Caicedo should have been sent off, but did not like the lack of consistency in the Premier League.

"It's a red card," said Maresca about the Caicedo challenge. "But why Bentancur against Reece was not red card when we played Spurs away?

See @arbitropout above. Even Chelsea head coach thought it was a red card.

Just watched highlights of the Sunderland v Bournemouth match.

Sunderland certainly have some players skilled in 'shithousery'!!

Managed to wind Bournemouth up so much there was a mass 'loss of heads'!

We used to be good at that back in the day.

Im genuinely amazed at that.

I thought the Chelsea Coach would be frothing at the mouth about it and backing up his player.

Bloody soft foreigners. Bugger off back to La Liga!

Lol.

The two players analysing in the studio didnt think it was a red, they thought as I did that the ref's decision should have been left to stand and that it looked far worse in slow motion than it actually was.

Let's see if you are of the same opinion the next time a Rovers players makes an honest but fractionally late challenge!

Didn't watch the post match analysis so cant comment on their opinions.

The ref didn't have to change his decision but did. Chelsea head coach said it was a clear red card.
