I’m not one for defending Venkys but I sincerely hope they can claim back all the fees wasted having a legal team attend every few weeks only for the judge to no show.

Serves them right for being dishonest and avoiding tax in the first place. It's all of their own making.

Who else thinks ‘on leave’ is a euphemism for tied up in Balaji’s basement?

Definitely being paid off. I know their system is shit but this is just a joke

I'd say they know someone in the court and they are filed under not urgent nor are they pushing it.

As always with Venkys things are never as they seem.

They want it to seem like they’re doing something whilst they’re actually doing nothing.

Unless something changes I would be amazed if a single penny is spent on players before the next court case is heard.

The transfer fee income is all gone and it's clear Venkys don't want to send any money over using the 'bond' method which is yet to be used.

The only other option would be another dodgy bridging loan from some 'local businessman' against the training ground again.

Also known in executive circles as 'washing our own face', I believe.

All Hail Suhail.

I don't feel like this has been properly flagged, particularly in recent interviews with Suhail, Waggott etc when claiming that there's no issue with Venky's funding the club. But let me know if I'm wrong

In the court judgement from September 2024:

Quote

"Consequently, whenever the Petitioner (Venky's) wishes to transfer any foreign exchange abroad / make a remittance to its Wholly-Owned Subsidiaries abroad, they are required to furnish bank guarantees of equivalent amount to the ED. Mr. Krishnan states that this predicament places an immense financial burden on the Petitioner..."

So there it is in black and white, that Venky's consider it an "immense financial burden" to send funds to the club while Pasha/Waggott claims there is no impediment.

They request that the ED close the investigation and end the need for providing the bank guarantees. There's been no update since then as the case has been relisted and relisted.

Has that ever been put to Pasha/Waggott in interviews or fans forum? I can see no mention of this order in the Lancashire Telegraph etc.

Sending 10 million company money from a  bank acc/borrowing facility serviced by huge monthly turnover is one thing.

Providing 10 million in personal guarantees or bonds is another, further reinforces though that one of the primary reasons they hang onto the club is because it works well within the company accounting structure.

Promotion means nothing to them.

I have posted on here that there is one huge impediment to the funding, so thanks for the quote. There have been no funds sent since and I expect none in the future, unless this impediment is lifted.

Hopefully it isn't.
