The emergence of news about Pasha wanting to control what the owners see on TV doesn't really come as a surprise to many who are capable of thinking. It was said to me that Pasha (with the support of Gestede) told the owners that we didn't need to spend and money in January and this was pretty much the tipping point for Eustace.

He is said to be the only direct contact with the Punekars and will throw anybody under the bus to protect himself. And as such he has Carte Blanche to tell them anything. He is in a permanent state of self preservation mode and is a controlling individual.

The owners are pretty much untouchable for us so the focus should be on him. He doesn't take criticism well but he will have to bear the brunt of it now Waggott has departed. The trust between him and the owners is the only thing he has left now. Once that is broken he will be gone.

I still think it's a bit fanciful that Suhail will be leaving any time soon.

He is well within the firing line now though.

Surely that trust is now gone, if his TV stunt has now been exposed to the owners?

This guy has by most accounts been involved in various capacities since before the wretches even completed their takeover.

Two relegations, three near misses, collapses in attendances and income, losses over £200 million, negative publicity, chaos, humiliation, yet it appears he has even more power now than ever before, the latest move being to oust Waggott leaving his little gang in control.

It's going to take a lot more than a couple of dodgy interviews or banners at Ewood to shift this bloke unless he gives up of his own volition.

The intriguing part will be if he is shifted who the wretches get to replace him because they ain't giving that job and the direct line to just anyone.

Oh this hoodwink stunt had my fingers doing overtime last night, straight to pune HQ

I take it the TV feed suggesting things are fine, was the hot topic?

Kean, Agnew, Shaw, Senior, Chesterton, Singh - did any of them leaving really change the trajectory of the club?

Club went downhill with all of them. Singh tried to make things better but had no clue and should never have had the job. This is the problem---Venkys simply appoint people they trust regardless of any experience or ability.

The lack of communication of their decision to the Women's team players was shameful

The decision to disband the team was shameful, lack of communication is bad but secondary. If they'd communicated it well it would still have been a shameful decision.

Had a chat with someone today.  Told Venkys aren't looking to sell but not happy with those running the club. Waggott the first but not expected to be the last. Also alluded - as most had worked out - that the current leadership did not want promotion.

By leadership, does that mean the owners don't want promotion or Suhail, Gestede and Waggott?

Exactly.

Conversely if they'd gone the other way and suddenly decided to fully fund the women's side for good PR, bearing in mind it's not PSR related, but not communicated the decision miles in advance, that would have been absolutely fine.

In general terms there genuinely isn't any impediment to them funding the women's side if they wanted to, they obviously just don't want to. It does make me continue to worry if funding has now been completely cut off all round , no matter what the situation, but we haven't quite got to crisis point yet.

Question not directed at me but I've always thought it was those on the ground at Ewood whose cushy little number with minimum hassle would be affected - Suhail, Waggott, Mowbray, Venus, Lowe, Caley etc etc.

Gestede has now come in and seemingly bought quickly into the "Play offs weren't the target this season it was building for next year" line.

Can't see why the owners wouldn't want promotion if only to recoup some losses.

The suggestion that Pasha has been telling the owners that all is well and they don't need to spend has been doing the rounds for a few seasons now from a variety of "inside" sources.

I didn't give it any credence at first, it's just too ludicrous for words, who apart from their right mind (apart from Mowbray) would be discouraging the owners from spending? Anyone normal on the ground would be doing their utmost to persuade the owners to spend as much on players as they possibly could.

Does seem to be an increasingly common suggestion though - not least from one of our former managers"

"Ask Suhail".

When Mowbray was here and he had a direct line to the owners my opinion of them was that, with the right guys in charge we'd flourish as the manager seemed to have carte blanche.

Since they've turned the taps off and costs have been slashed across the board it's clear we're only heading one way - relegation and then liquidation.

Pasha is the man behind a lot of the downgrading i have no doubts he'd be happy being the big cheese of an easy to run league 1 outfit.

It's all about him in the eyes of the owners 'look look we've cut the budget, finished 8th and sold players to pay the bills'

That kind of thing gets pay rises and bonuses, asking for multi million pound signings and missing or losing in the play offs probably gets the sack.
