Red lines through caretaker appointments. Exciting times, I think he said.....? Take out the 70's managers and he's the second worst in nearly half a century. Henning Berg, then him. Genuinely didn't realise it had been that bad. Maybe I'm just desensitised to death spirals over the years. Quote
LeftWinger Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Just looking at Dapo Afolyan's career - and only one manager seems to have got a tune out of him. Ian Evatt. Wouldn't surprise me. Quote

JHRover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Carlos Carvalhal? out of work, would fit the coach model they are looking for, never lasts very long anywhere, was linked just as JDT was getting the job. I suspect he moves in the right circles to be a contender here with his 'connections' and having managed Sheffield Wednesday. I'd actually be in favour of it if so, he has a good record and I think could give us a shot at survival. Wouldn't last long though, but given the tenure now is 1 year at best he doesn't need to. 2 Quote

Tricky Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago i hoe not, but wonder if a possible approval for a (late) sale of Alebiosu has yet to play its part in this... 2 1 Quote

B16Rover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I can't help but find it funny we've signed Dapo from the self proclaimed anarchist club in Germany and day one of being here we've committed to having no one in charge 6 Quote

dallydally Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The commonsense thing to do is to appoint a no nonsense experienced Manager until the end of the season with a big bonus if he keeps us in the Championship. Then revisit in the summer. Sadly Venkys and common sense are not bed fellows 6 Quote

I'm assuming he's back living in the North West. If he fails - it was a difficult job. If he keeps us up, he looks good. He's the sort of man to get a reaction from the players. I wanted him when we went for Ismael. 6 Quote

I don’t think he’d be the answer, couldn’t save us with a better squad albeit less time last time around and squandered too many winnable games that season. Feel we need some fire and brimstone, maybe Bilic can do that. Get in Big Sam he can save us from relegation and Venkys then leave and he can be there at the start and at the end! 5 1 Quote
Miller11 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Unfortunately I think there is more chance of Pasha picking up the phone to Steve Kean than Allardyce or Mowbray. It’ll be someone completely obscure, very cheap, probably French, and definitely shit. 5 Quote
Lancaster Rover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago On a short term basis it makes sense to give it to an old head, fire fighter type manager. Then reassess in the summer. Although I keep having to check myself and remind that we're not a normal club. So the hope of getting a good quality developmental manager in the summer is a waste of hope. I'd love to see the guy from Motherwell here but it's pointless as any manager coming in is doing the job with both hands tied behind his back. Quote
