* for less than we've reportedly paid.

I suspect we've paid utter peanuts for our Portuguese / Cape Verde / Leicester lad.

do you think they`ve really tried to spin the price with a shot of propaganda!!!!!nothing would surprise me about the vermin running the club,i think you could be rightπŸ₯΄,whatever the price,i have grave doubts about sidnei and the de neve

Becoming obvious the 10k/week ceiling is in place.

looks that way,if it is then it`s goodbye to travis, tronstadt and brittain, even if they run their deals down, they arn`t going to risk a broken leg or torn acl, negating their effect on the pitch, put your self in their position, why risk a serious injury when next season you are a free agent with a move to a more ambitious club and a better paypacket, one bad injury and your on the football scrapheap

I actually thought Weimann would be a much more useful signing that Batth at the start of last season. I was wrong, although I'mn ot saying Weimann was poor, he did a job.Β  Batth played more games than I expected and for the most part was excellent. I think it's a season too many for Weimann and he's creaking a bit, I'd be surprised if he manages more than 15 or so starts. Batth should have been kept, no question, he seems more robust

It's an undisclosed fee, right?

I reckon they've just wilfully failed to correct the fee bandied around.Β

This is on the assumption that batth performs to the same level and bare in mind he will have a new partner also

I backed not giving batth a 2 year deal if the rumours are true that Derby have offered 1 then that is a massive loss on rovers behalfΒ

but again see above batths form (any players form) from the season before isn’t really relative when they move to a new clubΒ

Good point on partners, it's never considered that it may well have been Hyam bringing out the best in Batth, that wouldn't do.Β

has hyam ever been a leader???he`s been shocking with some centre back partnerships, remember the 0-5 battering at bristol city and the atroticious defending losing 2-3 at hull over christmas in jdt`s tenure

Letting Baath leave is criminal. Β It just screams that they don’t know what they’re doing.

10K/WK ceiling, No contract offers with players already on more. Hyam, Tronstad,Β  Travis.

Bath the first of many. Ask Suhail.

Cheap foreign imports and academy lads.

Welcome to the future.

That’s a plan from people who have no idea what brings success to a club. You need a solid squad irrespective of age. Promising youngsters should be introduced into a solid first team, not be its entire makeup.Β

I know it doesn't fit the narrative, that's why it's never been considered.

Playing well as a partnership means complementing each other.Β

I still don't get the discrepancy between peoples opinions on Hyam and Carter.

Carter is the one partner that Hyam struggled with, at times as they were excellent together in Hyam's first season.

When Carter has played in the last 2 years, he has individually been poor.

Hyam had a really good season just gone whilst Carter either was playing poorly or sat on the sidelines, yet the conclusion from that weirdly is that Hyam's reputation hasn't improved, and Carter's hasn't declined.

I do think that an experienced head does bring more out of Batth, but I don't get why it's just been concluded that specifically with Carter, it's as if the flaws of them playing together are solely down to Hyam.

Whilst we're scouring Europe for weird unproven players... Christ.

Is he proven at Championship and what wages are QPR offering considering that Birmingham were offering 30k was the rumour. Can you say he is worth that wage?Β

As critical as I am of the Club and its senior management this just appears to be critique for the sake of it

Our recruitment team has continued to mould a squad that is far better than the pot of money they are given to work with. With a budget that is way down in the bottom 5, we have challenged for play offs more often than not

We do not have the wage or transfer budgets to gazump other teams in our league. Teams in the league below us could offer higher wages - Wrexham and Blues. That is not the fault of the scouting team, data analysts or other members of the recruitment department, it is the fault of Venkys.

Our recruitment team has to be one of the best in the league

very good post.Β

We got a scout who left Man Utd and we appointed him here and we appointed Dundee United DoF as one of our lead scout

Oh do give over - George Hirst, Telalovic, Ennis, O Riordan, Wahlsted, Forshaw, Dennis, Woodrow,Β  to name but a few?

The only time I'd argue we excelled on a limited budget was last summer when John Park was here.

You mean George Hirst who JDT couldn't get firing but McKenna did helping them to get 2 promotions.Β

George Hirst was, and still is wank!! Just because he was in a team that got promoted and got a few games in the EPL doesn't mean he's any good...Β

I'd be be gutted if we signed Hirst.

Kargbo is Dolan’s replacement. He’s worse.

Sidnei is nowhere near the quality of Travis or Tronstad.Β

Β

Can you DM me the numbers for the next euro millions?Β

We've not seen enough from Kargbo but on his small cameo he's been half decent.

How on earth can you say Sidnei is 'nowhere' near the quality if we've not even seen him kick a ball πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ that did make me laugh like.

The fact that Eustace at Derby is shopping in virtually identical markets to what he was doing here last year is not to be taken as a positive. It shows that Derby are not in any great shape, and financially are hamstrung, so much so that he is having to turn to free agents and people he knows in a bid to solidify them.

He hasn't gone there to throw millions around on quality. He's working under tough financial constraints.

Yet despite those constraints, despite shopping for free agents and despite gambling his reputation on what appeared to be a probable relegation to League One, he still couldn't get out of the Brockhall exit quickly enough.

What does that tell the head in sand brigade about the state of things at Rovers?

Eustace wants only certain style of players and you can see that through his time at Birmingham and Us. He prefers the UK market. He wanted more control over signings and who the club signs. He wasn't going to get that here. He has more say in transfers at Derby and you see that with his first signings. Morris is a target striker he wants, Batth and Weimann are experience players who fits his style. He is also targeting Dion Sanderson.Β

I bet you a donation to a charity of your choosing at the end of the season if I do a poll of BRFCS members, Sidnei isn’t rated higher than Travis or Tronstad.Β
